To be annoyed my FB ‘friend’ is cheating at Wordle

Just that really. Everyone gets the word in 4, 5, 6 tries, 3 on a good day, 2 once in a blue moon. Everyone except for one ‘friend’ who gets it in 2 tries nearly every day. How is that even possible? Go ahead, tell me to get a life.

You may sometimes be better to do a tactical different word with as many letters that could be letter 1 as possible to either identify or eliminate them

The only thing more tragic than sharing your Wordle result on FB (truly - nobody gives a shit), is posting your Wordle resulted that you cheated to get. How embarrassing for her.

I had one person on my FB religiously posting their Wordle each day. Nobody was liking it, and I think she must’ve twigged that the only person who cares is herself, as she’s thankfully stopped.

Whats the point in cheating? Its just a game.

How can she live with herself?

I got it in two today. It is not skill, it’s fluke. I accidentally got an anagram on the first word.

I did try this, and have done so successfully before. For the 4th attempt I used a word that had 3 of the possible first letters, but it was none of them (got 5 greys) This left just two attempts left, with two so far unused letters as possibilities, but also two more possibilities for the first letter that were repeats of correct letters in positions 2-5. The solution would have been my 7th attempt.

I have done it twice now in 1 go - pure guesses… today I failed to get it ( had every variation bar the 1st letter)
Still love doing it.

I got today’s in two without cheating I don’t post it on Facebook, but I will often send it to ds to compare notes.

Did Wordle and nerdle in 3 today. Le Mot, french wordle is tricky when the word is obscure. Took me 6 to get it.

Just had a go at Quordle, love it. Was so close.

There is a numbers one too, called mathler. It is great.

What's the point... I enjoy the puzzle, I couldn't give a shit how well anyone else is doing, what their streak is, whatever...

I like it so much that yesterday during a slowwwwwwwww shift I managed to Wordle, Dordle, Quordle, Octordle and Sedecordle - weirdly for the first time I failed both wordle and dordle but got the others!

My usual score is 4 or 5 but I did get it in 1 one time when it happened to be my usual started word. I like nerdle as I prefer maths.

Some help for those that aren't sure what wordle is.

You can find out what it is on one device then do, and post, it from another. Using this method I got it in ONE three times consecutively, triumphantly sending the results to a friend on WhatsApp, who patiently endured my idiocy.
On slightly more serious note I wouldn’t post it onto fb and hide anyone who does until they stop. 😀

I hate puzzles like today's.

I had letters 2,3,4,5 correct on third attempt, but there are 8 options for the first letter that make common words, and only 2 were eliminated in tries 1-3.

But then you try other words containing multiple letters that could be that final first letter. So if it's _atch it could be watch, patch, hatch, latch, batch or match. I wouldn't go through those words individually. I'd guess at words like balmy - that eliminates three of those words.

I have an unbroken streak since I started about 25 days ago, but never got one in 2 guesses. It's easy to cheat with all the sites telling you hints and answers etc. but there's no fun in that. I can see why you'd be annoyed though.

I didn't get it yesterday after getting to -atch and I still don't know what it was, but a fun puzzle is just that.

Having said that @dropyoursword is a tactical genius. I salute you.

I love wordle - we have fun family banter around it - why would you cheat?! Or care enough to?
