To be annoyed my FB ‘friend’ is cheating at Wordle

Just that really. Everyone gets the word in 4, 5, 6 tries, 3 on a good day, 2 once in a blue moon. Everyone except for one ‘friend’ who gets it in 2 tries nearly every day. How is that even possible? Go ahead, tell me to get a life.

I hate puzzles like today's.

I had letters 2,3,4,5 correct on third attempt, but there are 8 options for the first letter that make common words, and only 2 were eliminated in tries 1-3.

She should try quordle, I always get wordle but I’ve only managed to do quordle twice.

OP, this is so not worth worrying about, other than the fact that your friend thinks this transparent cheating is a way to impress people.

I got it in 3 today, I nearly got it in 2. If I had done it would have been purely down to luck not cleverness. 4 or 5 is my usual hit rate.

I like Wordle but am really surprised anyone posts on sm about it. Unfortunately those who do include my bf... I don't really think about it tbh.

I like both Facebook and Wordle but YAB a bit U to let anything to do with either of them get to you so much, especially when it's only a bit of fun and not some kind of serious relationship issue or similar.

I’m sure your right. But today I failed so I’m doubly annoyed. I’ve got a glass of wine now though so am rapidly gaining perspective 😀

Used to play online scrabble. Gave up because of the amount of players who were CLEARLY using aps to get words from their letters.

I didn’t know you could cheat. I find it cringeworthy when people boat about their wordle success - it’s a fun game but It’s a test of primary school level vocabulary! How embarrassing to boast about it and even more embarrassing to cheat.

I used to be annoyed seeing all the Wordle results on FB.

Then I got addicted and do it every morning, set my alarm early so I can have a coffee in bed and Wordle, worldle, Quordle & octordle

There's more!? Aaargh, there's no escape for me now!

Exactly! Running through a list of 1st letters having got the last 4 letters in line 3 is very irritating.

I actually find quordle and octordle easier, because there are more guesses available. If you use up the first three words with words with different common letters, you have most of what you need for having a decent guess at the others.

If you know how to do it, you can look up the word list that shows what the upcoming answers will be. Someone put it up on Twitter weeks ago. I could tell you the answer to tomorrow's puzzle today.

I came late to Wordle and got addicted as well. Now I do Wordle, Wordle 2 (6 letter words), Worldle (guess the country), Quordle and Absurdle, where the word changes every time you guess it wrong.

Nerdle rules anyway - Wordle is old hat. Your friend is already a looser

I've tried the others but I'm useless at them all.

No point in cheating at wordle it’s so obvious. I got the last four letters in two today but who knew there are so many words ending in those letters. I failed😟

I've hit a good run on quordle, I get ridiculously excited about it!

If the FB friend does Wordle in bed, as I do, on a Kindle she can the 'guess' the answer on 1 go on other devices to try and trick her FB friends.

Playing on 2 devices as it tracks ip address. So you can get it wrong and then move to a second device and enter again. Also damn it I missed todays, there were too many options!! and wrecked my streak

There are 3 sites I know of that give you the answer.

I did once get it in two but it was a total fluke!

I got a two once, my first guess was 5 greys, my second was 5 greens, pure chance!

Maybe she does it on her phone first, then does it on her laptop and posts it to fb?

The first time I played Wordle I got it on my first try. I will never play again

All you have to do is Google the answer then fill it in.

Why on earth would you want to cheat?!

When I started playing I got it in 2 for several days in a row, I wasn't cheating.

If you're lucky with the first word, then it can be easy enough to get it on the second go. Once you have 3 letters, green or yellow, you can pretty much always get it on the next go unless it's one of those annoying words with loads of possibilities.

I was addicted to it for a little while and I was usually getting it in 2 or 3 goes, 4 on a bad day, 5 on a rare awful day. I never once cheated.
