OP YANBU for it is clearly a travesty that they have lost the keys, however YABU for openly bringing up the subject of corned beef when I have none in the house, and after being reminded of its existence I am subsequently wanting a corned beef and pickle sandwich.

When I was young my mum used to give us new baby potatoes, corned beef and butter. It was bloody lovely.

After waiting 6 hours in A&E with a badly gashed thumb from a corned beef tin and wishing I had decided to have sausages for my tea, when I was eventually seen and steri-strips applied, I now keep them in my first aid kit.

In USA they already have automated picking, a robot can pick 11 times quicker than a human, roll on when that comes into practice here, its a thankless job.

For the love of God, it's a lighthearted thread about corned beef/Tesco. Get a grip of yourself, some light relief is a good thing.

When I was a kid I used to love corned beef & mash pies. It's great cold for a picnic!!

I remember opening the tins with a fork, rolling the strip up! 🤪

I'm curious about the 'on toast' bit, is there some Oreo or do you literally just put cold slices on a bit of toast?

I've been vegetarian for over 30 years & could not eat it now, but if I started eating meat again, a corned beef & mash pie would be right on top of the list.

@PriamFarrl try using granose nutolene for a vegi/vegan hash (it’s now called nut luncheon I think- comes in a tin). Doesn’t have a key though, you have to top and tail the tin and push it through. Chop it into chunks and add to your hash.
