Where would you flee to if war came to us ?

Sorry really not wanting to sound alarmist. But just pondering on the thought of which country we could seek refuge in, should the worst happen?

Our European neighbours would be out, as they'll have their own issues.

So where could we go ? Interesting to think about with all that's going on and how the general public view refugees...

We haven't even mentioned sleeper agents and Novichok yet.

Let's face it, nowhere is truly safe we just have to make the most of what we have, and feel fortunate we're not in Ukraine.

Watching the news has made me cry with sorrow for the Ukrainians this evening. As a country we need to step up and think about any practical help we as ordinary citizens can provide.

We live in rural Wales, I would imagine people would flee here.

We Wouldn’t be able to leave the uk so me and dc would go to family who live in the middle of nowhere. dh could come with us but has already said he would stay and fight.m

No where. They aren’t attacking me or my beliefs. All I eed to decide if I like being British or not. I do.
So I ‘d just fight and die here.
If I wasn’t fussed I would go to wherever offered the best opportunities

Australia as I have been brought up there, qualifications to A level standard HSC in 6 subjects, could work there on UK internationally recognised qualifications, sister and lots of cousins there, have money for a flat and can obtain passport( hopefully).

Nowhere is safe and u can't predict where they would strike next. Instead of asking where I would flee to I'd sooner ask how can I help right now? Ukrainians are already in trouble and going through this alone right now? Donating to action aid or unicef to help refugees is the only thing I can think of . Is there anything else we can do because this doesn't seem enough I feel so helpless sitting and watching as so many families and children go through this horror 😢

Never heard of them, but googled, and they are as almost as satanic a weapon as Nukes.

If they use those, the poor civilians of Ukraine with their Molotov cocktails will be like a Tuzla paper trying to hold back a tsunami.
Most civilised nations have banned them.

Coming to Australia may be a big mistake depending on the players in the war.

A lot of land has been sold to the Chinese government/Chinese companies. Including a 99 year lease ownership to the Port of Darwin!

@Whadda I presume a lot of these people have Irish parents/grandparents. Almost everyone I knew growing up has at least one Irish grandparent at the very least, mostly more. I have dual nationality, my partner does too. I would have thought that’s why so many people are saying Ireland.
