I forgot about the baby dax story, just reread about it.

The other one it reminded me of was Katie cutler and Alan Barnes

@LampLighter414

He is a hero and a national treasure and to say otherwise you basically must hate our country and way of life and have no respect for the armed forces and beating the nazis in the world war.
Are you serious?

Hannah Ingram Moore's website is very interesting, she gushes with confidence in a way that I think we're just not comfortable with. I'm not saying that's desirable in any way but I think we're engineered to struggle with that kind of woman.

Interesting concept but wrong tense, LampLighter414* ... it's hard to be a "national treasure" when you're dead, and he died last February

I'm not sure how much of a hero he was during the war, to be honest, and he saw very little service against the Nazis.

After being conscripted, he was seconded for officer training and then was posted to India (where there was no fighting) where he ran a training programme for army motorcyclists. He was then posted to Western Burma and then to Dorset in early 1945, where he stayed again running a training course till he was demobbed in 1946.

All of it no doubt very necessary and important work, but he wasn't fighting through Europe to defeat Hitler.

Were the daughter and SIL using the name "Moore" (as in Ingram-Moore) before he started the walk or did they add it after it started trending?

What a misery you are

Not at all. I'm just capable of critical thinking and I don't feel obliged to go all gooey over random people because the news media instruct me to do so.

I also wasn't miserable when I didn't clap the NHS every Thursday evening because doing so was pointless, patronising and helped the population ignore the harm being done by underfunding and privatising something about which I care deeply.

That kind of person. It's not about her being female. It's about her being a selfish, greedy narcissist.
