have you looked at all the manuals that it came with? Googled it?

sorry, cant help more its a real PITA when important appliances dont work, especially when they are new... I thought it was just me that had new things cock up on me immediately.

Is it waiting to start and you need to press again?

SSSandy2 · 02/01/2008 21:11

Hate this type of thing and have no idea about appliances generally. Our washing machine broke down in the middle of a load of washing on Cristmas Eve and we had one heck of a hassle getting the new one installed before we left on holiday. Thankfully it worked ok though.

Whereabouts is it flashing? Presume you tried switching it off and starting again

LIZS · 02/01/2008 21:11

Could it have a delayed start for econonmy 7 use ?

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 21:11

ive tried that

ive tried holding the button in and it stops falshing but then press to start again and it starts flashing

OP posts:
SSSandy2 · 02/01/2008 21:12

Shitemum · 02/01/2008 21:14

some machines do this if you try to do something which is incompatible with the programme you've chosen, for example put the heat button to a higher heat than the max recommended for that programme - check the instructions!

lizandlulu · 02/01/2008 21:15

turn it off at the mains and try to start again?

AngharadGoldenhand · 02/01/2008 21:15

But does it have a sensor that tells it you haven't checked the filter?

redadmiral · 02/01/2008 21:15

My machine - not Beko- flashes when I've pressed wash and the door's not shut properly. I know you've as aid you've shut it. Is there anything alse it could be unhappy with and sulking until you do it?

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 21:21

well ive managed to make the fucking stupid thing go fuck knows how if its going to take me an hour to get the darn thing on every time by some derren brown trickery than i shall go mad

OP posts:
SSSandy2 · 02/01/2008 21:22

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 21:23

OP posts:
SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 02/01/2008 21:24

well exactly im not sure turned it off yet again and opened and closed the door yet again

then pressed the on button

and then waited

and then pressed the start button

SSSandy2 · 03/01/2008 14:56

Well done sorting it out though, however you did it!

Maybe you need to do it all a bit more slowly? I mean waiting a bit longer after pressing on before pressing start.

Geez I hate these bl* machines when they play up.

SSSandy2 · 03/01/2008 14:57

or maybe you have to sacrifice a black crow or something first. Who knows?!

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 03/01/2008 15:02

well i shall see

have confirmed my suspicion that the crap hotpoint tumble drier not old but past the 1 year gurantee is packed up too..at least it goes round but doesnt pissing heat up properly

so will have to fork out for that now

so still no clean DRY clothes
