To say the NHS should be privatised?

Preferably only partially, but still. I was talking about this with DH yesterday who is adamant it should stay as it is. I said I don’t think it can survive in its current form, and I for one would rather pay more and receive a better quality service. AIBU?

@canary1

Capri3 the NHS is employing consultant for x hours, and the consultant is doing whatever they like during their non contracted hours. That might be doing private practice. So taxpayers are obviously not paying for that time!
Nuffield Hospitals are private hospitals, not NHS. When NHS patients are having consultations/operations at the Nuffield Hospitals, the cost of that is paid by the NHS.

Useless argument about privatising the NHS. It has taken on almost god like status unfortunately.

I am currently working in the NHS and the waste and poor management is shocking, Financial controls are poor and the flinging of money about including incentives is poorly targeted, Ill thought out and controlled by idiots that have never worked anywhere except a state controlled monolith that the NHS is. They think the only way to make something happen is to chuck money at it.

So since seeing this, I have no hope that the NHS will improve. It will just keep sucking up money
