I got poked fun at in the street and it's making me feel shit.

I don't know what it was meant to signify but it was obviously negative and I can't stop wondering what I look like to be brayed at.
A couple in their 20's walking towards me on the pavement. Residential area in town. Man looks at me making a donkey eeyore noise, laughed. The girl shushed him and said 'dont'

What does it mean?

It's nothing I know but just wondering?

@SamphiretheStickerist

I’m on a few ADHD groups on Facebook and one story really made me laugh. Some blokes in a van shouted something similar at one of the members whilst she was walking her dog … she instinctively threw her full dog poo bag through the van window 😂😂

Ddot · 16/02/2022 08:40

I used to get it alot always something to comment on. Hair too big, chest too flat, muscles bloody hell look at the size of her. Even my huge size 10. I dont want or need your god damn crappy opinion because you mean nothing to me and probably nothing to anyone else due to you being a non entity with the personality of a turd. Just ignore him he was trying to impress his girlfriend who needs to dump his arse pronto before he turns it on her

SamphiretheStickerist · 16/02/2022 08:43

@ShittyFingers Oooh! I have a dog now.... 😈

Ohnohedident · 16/02/2022 08:43

Id say it means they're a deeply unpleasent couple.

Thank your lucky stars they are nothing more to you than two randoms making prats of themselfs in the street.

Imagine if they were neighbours or family or summet, what a drag that would be to have to make conversation with arseholes like these two.

Dottychickens · 16/02/2022 08:50

@ShittyFingers sadly no! That means there are 2 of them! Angry

Onlyforcake · 16/02/2022 09:09

I've had only a couple of pints stolen over the fifteen years we've lived in our current house. They coincide with the sounds of a drunk person wandering down our road.

But someone did once steal the whole delivery for the nearby primary school (large bottles AND more than 150 individual milk cartons). Ffs

VestaTilley · 16/02/2022 09:10

It means he’s a nasty piece of work.

Please don’t give it a second thought; I hope you have a lovely day.

TheNoodlesIncident · 16/02/2022 09:26

It's no reflection on you whatsoever, these types of knobs are unfortunately very commonplace.

I've had abuse in the street and also had an unopened can of fizzy drink thrown out of a passing car at me (it hit my upper arm and was very painful as well as a shock). As the car passed I heard a "Yeeees" of delight as it struck. I thank my daily stars that it never even occurs to me to do this to people, let alone actually do it. Imagine going through life being that unpleasant... Urgh.

Please don't let it prey on your mind, it wasn't you in particular and could have been anybody (with the obvious exception of a huge rough-looking burly bloke, which tells all you need to know about the cowards who do these things).

Comedycook · 16/02/2022 09:35

People are so weird. Many years ago I was walking from work to the train station. I looked totally unremarkable... average height, size 10-12, long brown hair, no distinguishing marks, wearing black trousers and a top. In front of me were two morbidly obese goths.... nothing at all wrong with that by the way. Just pointing out, it was probably a more unusual look than mine. Anyway, a couple were walking towards us all. Didn't even glance at the goths but looked me up and down like I was covered in dog shit, with a look of shock on their faces. No idea what their issue was.
Full disclosure, I'm not suggesting they should have looked at the goths like that either. They shouldn't be doing it to anyone. But I did wonder what the issue was?!

Agrudge · 16/02/2022 09:45

Maybe it was a joke between the couple and nothing to do with you? Could there be a chance it was just coincidence that you were there and not aimed at you

HopefulRose · 16/02/2022 09:48

Bleurgh I hate (some) men. Sounds like he was showing off to his mate by showing how intimidating he can be.

Try not to take it personally. Would you consult this random man's opinion on your outfit before leaving the house or on a new job you were thinking about taking?

The answer should (hopefully) be no which shows he is of no value to youn

This brings back an unpleasant memory. When I was a teenager a couple in their 20s or 30s followed me into my local library, followed me around in there - multiple areas - at a distance and followed me out again. They were sniggering the whole time, pulling faces and making stupid noises. Looking back, I think I played it as cool as I could have as I didn’t acknowledge them at all and continued doing what I was doing, but that was purely by chance. I had no clue what to do!

Who the hell does something like that? I tend to think drugs were involved in my case.

I had a couple doing that to me in a museum. It was the woman who was being rude and the man laughing. Like you I just ignored them, the woman said "Do you think she's foreign?" and made a few racist remarks but eventually they got bored of me not responding and went to find another target.

Who the fuck pays to go into a museum just so they can be a cunt?

WhatEvenHappened44 · 16/02/2022 11:03

In their 20s! I thought you were going to say a bunch of teenagers. They're the embarrassment OP not you.

Lwren · 16/02/2022 11:07

I've had fatty shouted at me a few times.
Whilst it hurts you have to wonder how they've been raised to abuse strangers.
Fucking weirdos.

FirstTimeMum6666 · 16/02/2022 11:25

Probably just showing off.. or he actually thought you looked like a donkey and was being rude.

Gowithme · 16/02/2022 11:41

I don't think it means anything in particular does it? Perhaps it's some weird in joke he has with her. I can't imagine anyone actually looking like a donkey and normally the things associated with donkeys are being stupid - and how would he know if you were - or being hung like a donkey - which I assume you're not.
I feel sorry for his girlfriend being with someone so immature.

IsItTooHotInHere · 16/02/2022 12:11

He's a moron. Nothing more. Try to forget about it.

User1isnotavailable · 16/02/2022 12:29

These jackass types walk around and makes comments to others in an attempt to make himself feel better. Ignore him, maybe pity him and more pity the girlfriend who puts up with the jackass.

blanketyblanked · 16/02/2022 12:46

It means he's deeply insecure and has a microscopic penile appendage

oadhkand · 16/02/2022 13:05

it means you should have pushed him in the road

CrackerGal · 16/02/2022 13:07

I bet you anything it's nothing personal.
He's probably an ass making animal noises at random people walking by. That's why his gf told him Shush.
Don't take it personally. He probably thinks he's hilarious & really he ought to grow up 💐

SirChenjins · 16/02/2022 13:09

It means he's got some personality defect and hasn't moved on intellectually or emotionally from around the age of 6, and that she's one unlucky woman.

ShittyFingers · 16/02/2022 13:10

He’s probably been watching something like impractical jokers and thought he’d give it a go.

KalaniM · 16/02/2022 13:16

I think it was a joke between them and nothing to do with you in particular, but he got carried away trying to amuse his gf and forgot he was doing it at someone else’s expense.

Sorry this happened to you.
