To think people shouldn't be calling Kanye 'romantic'

Kanye West wants Kim back. She is currently with some bloke called Pete, Kanye up until recently was with a woman called Julia, they've just broken up, no surprise because Kanye has been posting pics of Kim and the kids saying he wants his family back together.

He's now on a crusade to get her back. For valentine's Day he sent a truck of red roses to her house, he's made public declarations of his love on Instagram, has enlisted the "help" of celebrity friends and fans, and is telling his followers to shout KIMYE at Kim and Pete when they see them together.
He's also calling Pete names (Skete?) and generally telling his fans that he's an obstacle.

Last night, Kanye posted screenshots of his messages with Kim where she has asked him to stop doing what he's doing as something bad could happen to Pete and it would be his fault. Kanye's reaction to that was to ask his fans not to hurt Pete, as he was going to hurt him himself. Wtf?

Yet his fans, influencers and celebrity friends are calling him a romantic who just wants his ex wife back, using tag lines such as KimyeForever and trolling Pete. People seem to think it's hilarious and adorable.

Kanye is diagnosed with bipolar, it doesn't sound like he's of a sound mind at the moment, and he's also a massive narc. I'm not a fan of Kim or any of the Kardashians, but this must be really unsettling for her, if it was any normal couple then Kanye would be called abusive and Kim would be on the phone to the police/Woman's Aid

Aibu to think that someone needs to intervene before he does something extreme or encourages his fans to do something extreme?

I lived with an ex who had type 2 bipolar, so my direct personal experience was similar to this. Its hell. You don't know what's going to set them off, I ended up feeling like I had to manage his mh. From what I've seen, it seems like Kim had been trying to do that for years.

I have every sympathy for her. Even taking his mh out of it, divorce and separation with kids isn't easy anyway, but with these sorts of issues, it makes it worse.

I'm not a Kardashian fan, and my personal experience has meant that I'm more interested in this than I would be ordinarily. However, I don't think she posts everything on social media. I think she posts exactly what she wants you to see, creating an image of an attention seeker that's probably nothing like what she's really like at all. She's created businesses out of this idea of her, and studying law so she's obviously smarter than most people believe.

The whole situation concerns me. For her, and for their kids.

Kanye is clearly mentally unwell and I suspect taking more than his prescribed mrds but I would still shag him over prte anyday. He is rank! Its not a real relationship.

I don't think he takes his prescribed medication at all.

Look at his comment section on Instagram, you would be shocked at the comments. It’s not helping him as he’s been posting lots of the fans supporting comments and encouraging him, the fans early have no idea that this is not good for him in the slightest.

You're totally right about his actions being far from romantic. I'd question whether these friends were really friends or people looking to profit from the Kanye association.

Kim has been extremely patient with Kanye's mental health issues and it must be hard being civil.

His recent post to Billie Eilish is also out of order. She is 100% in the right to stop her concert while an inhaler is found for a fan in the audience and if you look on YouTube, there's lots of celebrities who do this if they spot an I'll fan.

I agree. Pete seemed to appear on the scene right as the astroworld tragedy happened. Seemed like a distraction technique to me.

Apparently Davison also has mental health issues

Apparently these stem from the trauma of losing his dad so young in the 9/11 attacks - he was a fire fighter who died in one of the twin towers I believe.

He's funny, treats them nicely and with respect? It's not always all about looks.

I mean when you 70 and your looks have gone what’s better the funny and now old looking man or the boring/grumpier and now old looking man.

Even being poor having a laugh and fun with your partner is much better than a grump.

The whole thing is strange.

KW is clearly a narcissist. It's not a term I use lightly, (I know its thrown round mn a lot), but the man genuinely believes he's God. Add in bipola disorder as well and a refusal to take meds, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

KW is surrounded by yes men. It's literally the emperors new clothing (especially with his awful yeezy clothes) and he cannot cope with the fact that he's lost control.

I've said for years it looked like an abusive marriage - the love bombing with expensive gifts, the huge gestures, the way he threw all of Kims clothes out and how he styled her. I remember on one episode her telling Khloe that he'd told her she wasn't allowed to wear large sunglasses anymore, only small ones...The way he had a fight with Kim about the fact that she put their son first when he wanted her to get him a plaster...that's not normal behaviour.

I quite like Kim, despite her attention-seeking ways. She's clearly exceptionally smart and savvy. The way she's launched herself as a tech icon through her use of social media, running billion dollar businesses, studying for law - this is someone who is clearly very clever. I think she comes across as a good mum - you always see her with her kids (unlike KW), and even if she has hundreds of nannys, I get the impression that she is with them every day. I think she's very carefully not responded to anything that KW has been saying, she's definitely coming out of this with dignity.

I mean when you 70 and your looks have gone what’s better the funny and now old looking man or the boring/grumpier and now old looking man.

I think Pete Davidson is pretty hot! He also seems funny and sweet and to ... shock ... actually genuinely like women.
