A card with a well thought out heartfelt message.

I kill flowers unfortunately. And my cat tries to eat them. I want baby#2 this year and i got a promise he’d try his very best to make that happen 🤣.

SmallPrawnEnergy · 14/02/2022 19:52

Nothing. Congratulations kiln your tat which will sit in landfill for the rest of time. What a way to say I love you.

YetAnotherWalk · 14/02/2022 19:53

Nothing, I did some heart themed baking with the DC though so indirectly I got myself a slice or 2 of cake.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 14/02/2022 19:53

DH and I went out for a posh lunch together at our favorite spendy restaurant and bought a valentines day special (pie, cookies, truffles) from our favorite bakery. It was lovely Grin.

MaudieandMe · 14/02/2022 19:54

DS got me a comedy card and later on some flowers from the supermarket when we were out food shopping this morning. I made us two valentines heart shaped mug mats because I love sewing.
We’ve been together 20 years.

romany4 · 14/02/2022 19:56

Married 32 years
Have never done Valentines day

Av0bo55 · 14/02/2022 19:56

I don’t like Valentine’s Day because I think it’s a load of rubbish and a marketing ploy to make money
However got flowers and steaks! Even though my dh knows I aren’t bothered he still can’t help himself!

Lovemydoggie · 14/02/2022 19:57

All commercial twattery. I did get flowers and a card but really had absolutely no expectations.

KylieCharlene · 14/02/2022 19:58

A lovely holographic card ( it's really lovely) and some fluffy slippers.
We're having a takeaway tonight with the kids (although we've ordered a bit late and I have a feeling we'll be waiting a while for the delivery so it'll be a late night for the dc)

Lovemydoggie · 14/02/2022 19:59

@Juliauns91

We have no money - none. He made me a card. The best thing is that there is a job I have to go and do every night 4.30-6pm 7 days a week. He went and did that job for me without asking. I am so happy - no shit job to do and dinner served to me in bed.
Love this post…you have a keeper 💕
jenn88 · 14/02/2022 20:02

A shitty card, with minimal words scribbled inside that I had to nag for!
I'm a hopeless romantic and would be grateful for a piece of paper with a thoughtful note!
Note to self, next year forget it! If he wanted to he would!!!!!!! Only one of us ends up disheartened!!
Just lowering my exceptions for my upcoming birthday next week!!!

OfstedOffred · 14/02/2022 20:04

Nothing..... is it really a thing?

DH did get just home and brought me a can of san pellegrino blood orange though. It's the little things that show he thinks of me...

Liv999 · 14/02/2022 20:04

Roses, chocs and a card, tomorrow is our wedding anniversary so we're going for a meal at the weekend too

JaceLancs · 14/02/2022 20:05

Nothing but are having a luxury 3 course dinner with lots of cocktails

forlornlorna · 14/02/2022 20:05

A bloody good seeing too 😁

justustwoandmoo · 14/02/2022 20:06

A card that says...

'Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm rubbish at poems.....nice tits'.

Oh and dinner in the Albert Dock....

God I love him 🤣🤣

saltedcaramelhotchocolate · 14/02/2022 20:08

A card and the bed to myself tonight as my husband is away. Best Valentine's Day ever 😂

PosyBoo · 14/02/2022 20:10

For the first time ever, a beautiful bunch of flowers delivered but I think that’s more to do with fact I’m poorly with Covid and looking after our DD, whilst he went on a jolly for the weekend 😂

USaYwHatNow · 14/02/2022 20:10

My husband is deployed so I had a lovely delivery of flowers and chocolates

Giraffesandbottoms · 14/02/2022 20:11

Actually my Valentine’s Day gifts from DH have now been superseded by the “card” my 3 year old made me ❤️ Also by how he says “happy Valentime’s day”, with an m 😍

FindingMeno · 14/02/2022 20:13

We don't do it.
Surely its just for young uns trying to get their leg over.

sarahtalkstoomuch · 14/02/2022 20:15

A dozen red roses and neither of us worked today so we went out for a nice lunch. I got him childhood sweets

Some people have written on here “I don’t need a particular day to know he loves me” And no, neither do we! We just love celebrating, any excuse will do

CockalierMum · 14/02/2022 20:15

A card and he made me a cake.
Then we went out and had Indian for dinner.

OldTinHat · 14/02/2022 20:16

I'm single, not dating. Went for lunch with a group of friends and we all got given a rose by one of the group. So that was nice!

Natsku · 14/02/2022 20:16

Some very fancy little cakes, which is a rare find in gluten free. I made him some Viennese truffles.
