I got a lobster biscuits and multicoloured rose, bunch of red roses in a vase, a valentines day balloon, a balloon that's red and says love. Also Indian tea x

Nothing (dating exclusively). I’m delighted as I didn’t get him anything either. We’re still feeling our way and once you start all that nonsense stopping is a real issue!

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 14/02/2022 18:14

Nothing. It's for teenagers.

JaninaDuszejko · 14/02/2022 18:14

Daffodils and a piece of art. DH got (vairy posh) chocolates and a book of poetry. Any excuse to buy presents basically.

LizzieSiddal · 14/02/2022 18:15

A lovely card and two books I’ve had my eye on. I painted him a card but didn’t get him anything.

Inastatus · 14/02/2022 18:15

A bunch of flowers and a card. Having Indian takeout and wine tonight.

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/02/2022 18:16

Nothing. I'm single so I got naff all.

Rainbowx · 14/02/2022 18:16

24 red roses with a lovely card been together 15 years he still makes the effort even if I say no.

Goldenbear · 14/02/2022 18:17

A sketched card by DH as he is an Architect and is very good at drawing. A lovely bunch of flowers and some a particular make of face masks that I like and a generous box of champagne truffles from a local chocolatier(?).

switswoo81 · 14/02/2022 18:17

A chocolate rose from one of the 5 year olds in my class.

Goldenbear · 14/02/2022 18:17

Oh and he cooked me a lovely dinner last night as he is away with work today.

Boombastic22 · 14/02/2022 18:18

Flowers, champagne, chocolate and he’s cooking dinner. Flowers

AAAAAGHH · 14/02/2022 18:19

He came home from Tesco yesterday with lots of flowers 🌺

HAF1119 · 14/02/2022 18:20

Nothing, an agreement between us that it is commercial rubbish :) we do get each other nice bits through the year when we see something we think the other would like though! Just not on a specified day and not really balloons that deflate or flowers that die, more likely something we notice is near running out for the other, fave food/drinks or wee clothing items that will get use

ihatethethirdtrimester · 14/02/2022 18:21

Nothing but I have nothing either 🤣

Giraffesandbottoms · 14/02/2022 18:21

Most holidays are commercial rubbish but any excuse for chocolates and presents is fine by me!

ihatethethirdtrimester · 14/02/2022 18:21

gave

JustHereWithPopcorn · 14/02/2022 18:22

Wine, box of chocolates, and hand picked pamper items, my fav hair masks and face masks Grin also cooking me dinner tonight.

Phrenologistsfinger · 14/02/2022 18:23

Nothing but we’re both forking out thousands for IVF so that’s kind of a gift to each other.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 14/02/2022 18:23

We never buy cards or gifts, it's commercial marketing bullshit. If he had to have a specific day to show me he loves me then there is something wrong!!

(Although I was a tad bit touched when he came home from shopping with a 2.99 bunch of multicoloured roses)

Vanillalime · 14/02/2022 18:24

A pizza express pizza from Tesco & a salted caramel dessert thing. Not technically for Valentines - we have just returned home from Sintra in Portugal where we spent a lovely weekend & couldn’t be bothered cooking ❣️

Giraffesandbottoms · 14/02/2022 18:25

@Phrenologistsfinger

Best of luck with the IVF - that’s actually an extremely romantic thing to pay for if you think about it! Years ago DH (then my boyfriend) paid for endometriosis surgery for me. Maybe the most romantic gift of all time! Sending you so many good wishes

SirChenjins · 14/02/2022 18:25

A card and chocolates from DH who knows not to get me anything more after 28 years together! I’m a complete cynic, it’s all commercial nonsense imo. We went out for dinner at the weekend so we had our nice time together then.

Happyface120 · 14/02/2022 18:26

A good morning shag Grin

ThAtSnOtMynAm · 14/02/2022 18:26

Flowers, bath bombs, wine, chocolates. After 14 years he still knows how to make me smile. And yes we don't need a single day to show how much we love each other on but it's nice to make an extra special effort.

TheCityIgnites · 14/02/2022 18:26

We agreed to give just a card each, that’s all we need from each other on Valentines.
