Nothing. Didn’t realise it was Valentine’s Day until I walked into M&S earlier and saw the signs. To be fair, I am jet lagged Grin

I did get cuddles from a friend’s cat. Said friend is also cooking dinner tonight so I’m getting no-effort involved food which is always appreciated.

Tunnocks34 · 14/02/2022 18:28

My husband and I don’t really go massive on v day but I got a card with a gorgeous love note in it, a bar of dairy milk and a lie in (half term here)

Stressedout1009 · 14/02/2022 18:29

Flowers and chocolate. I finally told dh to skip flowers from now on. Never liked them and such a waste of money.

Barbarolo · 14/02/2022 18:29

Surely it doesn’t matter what anyone else had? It’s not a competition!

CheesyWeez · 14/02/2022 18:30

A quickie between work meetings this morning and then a nice coffee and home-cooked croissant ( which he cooked)
We both wfh, and on Mondays all our children are out of the house all morning - it's the only time we get at home just the two of us
We don't need objects, we want quality time together

ThAtSnOtMynAm · 14/02/2022 18:30

@Ionlydomassiveones

Nothing. Because we are not 15.
Oh how we need more positive people like you in the world 😆😜
Simonjt · 14/02/2022 18:30

A He-Man lunch box and a new pot for my cheese plant.

I got him a star fox t-shirt.

Comedycook · 14/02/2022 18:30

Nothing because if I want to show dh I love him and vice versa we don't need permission from a load of marketing executives

Gruffalogrinch · 14/02/2022 18:31

Fuck all. I only wanted to do cards. He couldn’t even manage that.

Imarriedaviking · 14/02/2022 18:35

Flowers, for a change.Got him a pill box in a wallet.
We're old, obviously !

Ginger1982 · 14/02/2022 18:36

Card and a dozen roses.

AdoraBell · 14/02/2022 18:36

Hotel Chocolat chocolates, but Christmas ones. We live not far from an outlet centre and the shop had loads of Christmas stock greatly reduced. We currently have no income but not qualified any benefits so I’m pleased that DH chose the cheapest option.

I bought him a large bar of Fruit and Nut, we’ve never bought anything expensive for Valentines as both our birthdays are January.

Toria1586 · 14/02/2022 18:38

Our first valentines together after I got out of toxic marriage where I was emotionally ignored for 15 years and treated like a housekeeper

I got a canvas with the location of our first date on and he took the day off work to take me for lunch at a pub we like then we built a trampoline for my youngest son. Couldn’t have been a better day

LimeSupper · 14/02/2022 18:39

A very beautiful box of flowers from my favourite florist. My DC made me very cute cards too which I love. I took us as a family out for a fancy lunch yesterday. Today I did some themed cooking with the DC and we had a family film night (with proper popcorn boxes and printed tickets) just for fun.

Sweetlikejollof · 14/02/2022 18:39

Opal earrings, flowers, a swanky dinner at a Michelin starred restaurant (last night), and a card.

NotRainingToday · 14/02/2022 18:39

I got a couple of gnarly parsnips dug out of the allotment, though in his defense, DH had covid last week and isn't mingling yet.
It was the closest he could get to flowers, under the circumstances!

galacticpixels · 14/02/2022 18:40

Yesterday we exchanged board games, and got a takeaway and played the new games.

And this morning we exchanged cards. 🙂

SoupDragon · 14/02/2022 18:40

YABU.

MischiefManagedAlways · 14/02/2022 18:40

I got a card and some roses and then he went and spent the day with his parents as I’ve just tested positive for covid. Joy.

IDidntWearASmileToday · 14/02/2022 18:41

I got an anonymous bouquet of potatoes Grin I also got a box of chocolates and a lovely card from a 4 year old I look after

Thenextmrsreacher · 14/02/2022 18:42

@MadisonAvenue

Nothing, we don’t take any notice of it.
We don’t either. We celebrate our an anniversary which means so much more.
LemonSwan · 14/02/2022 18:42
