How many takeaways?!

I'm wondering if my husband and I are over indulging and it would be good to know if we are normal or not

How many takeaways do you and your DP (not DC) have per week / month? 🤫

During lockdown it became a weekly treat but normally maybe once a month. We'd usually go out 3-4 times a month as well

probably average just a little over once a month. but we have a 5 in the family so it can get expensive.

Probably one or two a month?

One or two a week.

Takeaways about once every 3-6 months.
But we do buy ready meals form the supermarket about once a month. And we eat out in restaurants about twice a month.

Once or twice a week routinely, either a takeaway or eating out.

If you eat takeaways you should not use any companies (uber eats/deliveroo etc) which routinely get their 'food' from the so called dark kitchens. You are perpetuating slave labour. Please get it direct from the restaurant itself.

One every couple of months or so if we are out late and the fridge is low. They are always disappointing though so a last resort.

We order pizza/chippy/Chinese/Indian for tea 1-2 times a week but we buy lunch out maybe 3 times a week too (McDonalds/Greggs/KFC).

I truly can't remember the last time we had a takeaway. We don't live near anything though, so it's at least a 20 minute drive to collect one if we do want it. But it's maybe 2-3 times a year? I always feel disappointed after eating them though as they aren't ever that good and I could have cooked something nicer myself in less time!

When we lived overseas we’d have a takeaway twice a week and eat out one night and lunches both weekend days. But it was very cheap and convenient.

Now back in U.K. only about once a week as not much choice for takeaways nearby! Used to go out once a week but now we have a new puppy so stuck at home 😂

We don’t eat takeaways as neither of us particularly like them. We eat out maybe once or twice a month depending on what we both have going on.

When I did, we would get one every week, sometimes twice a week. Always far too much food! I always felt disappointed.

About once every 2 months. Mostly if we're with friends, or for a special occassion.

Not very often, just special occassions really. I'm not a big fan of takeways really and usually enjoy the idea of it more than the food.

Probably once a week, but where I live we have amazing takeaways. It would take me so long to make sushi and think it would probably cost me more as well, so I don’t begrudge it.

DP sometimes gets a McDs Friday after his shift. Family-wise, we may do one a month (it’s never over £20) but I meal plan and that helps with putting us off getting one.
If we had the money, though, I’d order sushi nearly every week!

We eat out as a family very locally once a month (on top of any “special” meals out) but probably only order takeaway once every 1-2 months.

None. Ever.

We do special meals out, but for takeaways - maybe one every 2 months if we feel a desperate need for Pizza.

Before lockdown - once a week (McDonald’s on the day I work late).
During lockdown - none.
Now - once a month.

Once every couple of months. But we only have crap takeaways here, if there was anything decent I'd have one more often.
