How many takeaways?!

I'm wondering if my husband and I are over indulging and it would be good to know if we are normal or not

How many takeaways do you and your DP (not DC) have per week / month? 🤫

Normally only one takeaway per week but will often have at least 4 meals out a week.

If we had somewhere with better takeaways it would be more often. About 3 times a year.

But eat out a fair amount - twice a week. And will have supermarket ready meals - like a charlie Bigham once or twice a week.

On average? Around every 2 weeks. Sometimes we have one a week, other times once a month.

Once a month max, usually not even that tbh. Always feel underwhelmed by them.

We are the same … underwhelmed here too, unless it’s an Indian meal. And around once or twice a month.

Husband would get them every week if he could but he puts on weight really easily so we don't have them often. That is fine by me as I don't enjoy them that much. Always leave me with insatiable thirst in the night and so I don't sleep well and feel awful the next day. We usually just have them if we have relatives staying with us.

Once a month maybe. Sometimes not even that. I find that they're expensive, don't turn up on time, are cold sometimes and I could make it better and quicker at home

One a week at the minute because I'm cutting out during the week so it's a treat. Before that once a fortnight.

None. I think the last time was....not sure a couple of years ago...pre covid. Saying that when our kitchen was being done by my husband...took weeks we had it regularly as there's only so much microwave food I could eat....so not a treat now

Yes it is the MSG in them that disturbs sleep. Ds enjoys a Chinese on birthdays and special occasions but I refuse to buy them often. Even if I could afford it. I need my sleep more lol.

Once a week for just me (single mom), Thursday is my treat night to myself then Saturday night with the kids I'll just get a wrap or something

Maybe 6 or 7 a year. We’re not mad about takeaways. Our indulgence is eating out - we do that at least twice a week.

Around once every 3 weeks. We took to having one every saturday during the initial lockdown to give the kids some routine and something to look forward to. My OH and I were relieved when that could stop as it was getting really samey and felt like really greasy food. It's better for me as an occasional treat.
