Genuinely cant see how anyone from Team Boris thinks this is a defence. The children from his marriage are adults and are free to speak. I doubt very much doubt their mother, his second wife who he dumped his first wife for, signed a gagging order because she is a lawyer and a clever person of independent means no matter the divorce settlement. She is also free to speak.

Given that he was already married to somebody else and is not financially dependent on Carrie, I think it’s a stretch to claim that she is abusively controlling him.

Given past performance, it seems fairly likely that he would have been happy to stay with his second wife if she hadn’t shown him the door.
