So Carrie is the reason Boris is not a great Prime Minster?

Did anyone really think he would be?

He can’t even get his hair in order let alone a country.

Not that I’m a fan of hers but come on, he’s got his own mind (and being governed by your dick is still a conscious choice as an adult man).

Married man, Boris Johnson, accidentally tripped and fell on Carrie. This most unfortunate accident, led to his wife being very distressed and divorcing him. Not his fault you understand. The selfish bitch.

Faced with the prospect of having to cook his own dinner and iron his own shirts, Johnson was tied up and forced to upduff Carrie in a mysterious virginlike conception. Then, after miracle baby Wilf arrived, Johnson was dragged kicking and screaming to the alter and under pain of death was made to utter the words 'I do'.

Of course the now Prime Minister was utterly incapable of telling his darling new wife that he was the one in charge of hiring and with the threat of never seeing Wilf again agreed to hire Allegra Stratton and others.

This being the same Boris Johnson of two letters fame when he was deciding whether to support Leave or Remain.

Johnson doesn't really think about consequences. He just does things on a whim and cos he thinks it will be best for his career. If thats why you are making political decisions and you think that having multiple affairs (which you get caught doing) is a good idea then you probably aren't good at making the wisest decisions.

No real effort from Carrie is really needed to aid this.

forinborin · 05/02/2022 23:54

I dipped as low as reading the article in the Daily Mail on the topic. I admit I actually quite like Carrie (not even sure why), and for the life of me can't see what she found in Boris.

VivX · 05/02/2022 23:57

Johnson is entirely responsible for being a useless pile of shite by himself. He was a useless pile of shite before they were together and if she left him tomorrow, he'd still be one.

Of course she may also be a pile of shite in her own right but blaming her for his failings is misogynistic.

RedToothBrush · 05/02/2022 23:58

@RoyKentsChestHair

Has he ever considered changing the password on his phone so that she can’t send messages from it? Pretty basic security for anyone with a work phone I’d have thought Confused
The diligent naturally security conscious prime minister doesn't need a passcode on his phone, stupid.
PossiblyDreaming · 05/02/2022 23:58

Of course it’s nothing to do with her. It’s a story being run by the DM right next to a story about how having Starmer as PM would lead us to looking back on Boris Johnson as PM as being the golden years. They’re making a last ditch attempt to save him, quite probably on BJ’s own orders or at least with BJ’s knowledge. The fact that he’s apparently fine with his wife and mother of his young children being thrown under the bus by his cronies is just further proof of his narcissism.

OrangeShark27 · 05/02/2022 23:59

It's not like his behaviour is a new phenomenon is it? We aren't wondering where the lovely, honest boris has gone. He's always been a liar, he's always thought he can manipulate the British public with the most basic of statements.

Surely as the British Pm he can work out how to secure his work phone from his wife

youvegottenminuteslynn · 06/02/2022 00:01

It's always got to be a woman's fault...

youvegottenminuteslynn · 06/02/2022 00:03

And aside from the blatant misogyny behind some people's insistence it must always be a woman's fault, it's utterly idiotic because he wasn't exactly a poster boy for efficiency, empathy and not-being-a-massive-cunt-ness before he met her, was he?!

Er no.

That article is saying that Johnson is a lame duck PM who is under the thumb of his wife.

If the mail are running a story about the threat of Starmer being a dreadful pm, what they are doing is not trying to save Johnson.

They are preparing the ground for a leadership contest and saying it needs to be soon because otherwise its a choice between the head pecked buffoon or useless indecisive woke starmer.

BettyFilous · 06/02/2022 00:10

@Hospedia

What is the story?

A book by a Tory peer alleges that Carrie is the puppetmaster in the Johnson household. He is lonely and mesmerised by her while she's a controlling witch who is making him miserable. He's begged aides to run interference so that he can get five minutes peace from her. She uses his phone to send work messages in his name. Basically they're lining her up to take the blame for the current shitshow.

This is not the winning narrative they think it is. If Carrie’s running the show he is even less suited for high office. No one in his position should be delegating decisions and so on. How pathetic.
TooBigForMyBoots · 06/02/2022 00:10

Does anyone actually believe this shite?Confused

Imsittinginthekitchensink · 06/02/2022 00:10

The man has always been a bumbling fucknut. I can only assume she sees another side of him that is not apparent to anyone else, or she's media whore who has found an unappealing way to get to wherever it is she needs to be. Either way, the man is perfectly capable of being useless before, during, or after this current mother of his latest offspring.

Viviennemary · 06/02/2022 00:13

I think she must take some of the blame. Since some of the possibly illegal events took place in her home. A more mature and responsible wife would have acted differently. A Theresa May type.

Interestingly, I think he's always been with amazing women. Not amazing as in a 25 yo model, but accomplished, intelligent, personable (I don't know them personally, but it is the general impression they give in interviews etc). So there must be something more to him, somehow.
Lollypop701 · 06/02/2022 00:22

Bojo doesn’t need any help to be exactly who he is. If Carrie does anything to influence him then it’s just backing up bojo’s inherent egotistical ineptitude . He is the worst PM we have suffered. And that’s saying something

Well yes.

Lord Ashcroft is very good at nudge theory, as a tool of persuasion.

His timing, in releasing this book, just at the moment Johnson is at his weakest and there's talk of a leadership contest is pure coincidence.

toomuchlaundry · 06/02/2022 00:32

Wasn’t Cummings in charge before Carrie came on the scene?

ambushedbywine · 06/02/2022 00:45

This was exactly my thought OP. Daily Fail trying to shift the blame on to Carrie seems ill advised given his track record before she was on the scene. He is quite capable of fluffing things up all by himself.

Whilst I am no particular fan of Carrie the vitriol in going after her is really distasteful.

VladmirsPoutine · 06/02/2022 00:46

A very curious tale

Its not about saving him!

Its about making him look weak. So weak that his wife A WOMAN (!) is in charge and is controlling him.

The public and mps want strong leaders. Not hen pecked ones.

If you think these are stories to save Johnson you should pay more attention. They are very much the opposite.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 06/02/2022 01:04

I don't have a high opinion of her but 80% of that judgement is based around the company she keeps.

His home as well, and only hers by virtue of the office he holds.
FatherBuzzCagney · 06/02/2022 01:10

Handy theory for Johnson and his enablers but slightly undermined by the fact that long before he started shagging her he was an absolutely fucking useless mayor of London, too.

Nice try, lads.

DreamTheMoors · 06/02/2022 01:11

@Blueberryflavour

Obviously nothing can be a man’s fault, got to find the nearest person with a vagina to blame. It’s a tale as old as time.
”Care for a bite of this lovely apple, Adam?”

Nailed it, @Blueberryflavour.

Viviennemary · 06/02/2022 01:13

But Adam knew the rules too. As did Boris.
