Apparently Victoria Beckham will only ever eat grilled fish and steamed veg. Every day for 25 years. She says she won’t eat food cooked in oil, butter or sauces, red meat, or dairy.

So you think VB is literally the only person in the country to exist outside the patriarchy. Ok then.

I'm saying women are people with lives and choices, multimillionaire Victoria Beckham having way more choices than most of us. Her choice was to set up a business which perpetuates the idea that the only way for women to look good is to be ultra thin.

There's surely a middle ground between being 'fat', which she never was, and being as extremely thin as she has been for years. I'm not saying there isn't pressure on women to be thin, but she seems to have created a whole image out of her extreme thinness.

This. You’re not fat by definition just because you’re not thin. Normalising and celebrating extreme thinness is just as harmful as normalising obesity.

I agree. VB and Kate Middleton both have healthy physiques. It's ridiculous to have this faux concern for them. People have lost sight of what is healthy and we now try to normalise being overweight.

I disagree, VB and Kate Middleton are very much on the thin side. Who knows whether they are healthy or not. It is possible to be that thin and healthy of course it is. But VB has admitted to an eating disorder in the past.

I haven't lost sight of what's normal - I'm a size 10 and 5/9, but to call VB and KM anything but thin is incorrect

Yes, I was amazed to see how long it took for someone to come along and tell us that we had all got used to everyone being chubsters and that back in the 1970s Posh Spice would have been considered fat.

I am not overweight, never have been but I can clearly see that VB is very thin.

I just googled her height and weight (who knows if it's correct) and put it into a bmi calculator and she was 18.4 with 18.5 being normal so ever so slightly underweight according to that.
