So normally I’m a bit heartless and not one to cry at programmes at all, but I was flicking through Disney+ today and ended up watching The Rescue. Amazing programme and of course here I am bloody bawling about it at the end.

What did you last watch that made you cry?

West Side Story, the new version.

budgiegirl · 30/01/2022 23:01

Spider-man No Way Home. I've seen it twice, had a lump in my throat several times the first time watching, cried like a baby the second time as I knew what was coming.

Also cried watching Anne, especially the scene with the wall of photos, so terribly sad - I have three teenagers who regularly go to watch Liverpool play, and the thought of having to identify one of them from a polaroid on a wall after them going to a game absolutely broke my heart.

I cry at everything on TV, rarely cry at real life. Watched Private Practice from the beginning recently and full on sobbed any many episodes, such amazing acting in it and such sad story lines.

I cry at most episodes of This Is Us, also at Anne and at the cinema watching West Side Story.

We are going through something a bit traumatic right now and I can't bring myself to watch Afterlife as I know I'll be a mess.

PugInTheHouse · 30/01/2022 23:05

I watched Its a Sin last year, made me cry a lot!

avamiah · 30/01/2022 23:08

@MrsBungle

Anne. The programme about hilsborough and the families.
Yes me to it was just heart breaking and I found it very distressing as I was born in Anfield and will never forget that day.YNWA

A film called Everest made me cry loads

GiveUsACoffee · 30/01/2022 23:13

I second, Anne. I cried like a baby

RightOnTheEdge · 30/01/2022 23:14

@Iseeyoulookingatme

I can't remember the last thing I watched that made me cry but I was a blubbering mess an hour ago after finishing the book, Half a world away by Mike Gayle.
Oh the same! I could cry now just thinking about it!
Kitkat151 · 30/01/2022 23:17

Watching Belfast at the cinema on Friday night.....when the family left for England and the Granny watched them ride away on the bus

NotABeliever · 30/01/2022 23:17

The first episode of season 2 of Modern Love on Netflix. "On a serpentine road with the top down" with Minnie Driver.

52andblue · 30/01/2022 23:25

Father with Anthony Hopkins was moving and extremely well made. The last few minutes were heartbreaking.

I cried at The Handmaid's Tale & Maid.
(I also shouted at the TV a few times too).

Older ones: 'Stella does Tricks' and 'Nobody's Child' (I think). And, of course: 'Schindler's List'.

blahblahx · 30/01/2022 23:37

An old episode of One Born Every Minute

justasking111 · 30/01/2022 23:41

Watching Babylon 5 again the last series, especially the last episode the other day 😪😪

AliTheMinx · 30/01/2022 23:43

Mum's List. I was weeping!!

RobertSmithsLipstick · 30/01/2022 23:45

The Paul o'Grady dog programme.

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/01/2022 23:45

I am not a crier but tonight when Lucille lost the baby on Call the Midwife I sobbed as it reminded me of my miscarriage.

avamiah · 30/01/2022 23:46

Also After life made me cry especially the last episode of season 3.

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 30/01/2022 23:49

Neighbours 🤣 I'm pathetic. I cry at anything.

I'm not a Sistine Chapel type crier, but I do get involved in shows I'm in to.

I always get skitted, but I'm not arsed. I can tear up at a story on the news, especially where it involves women who have been treated like shit.

Go I sound like I walk round in tears haha. I don't, but I am quite sensitive.

gildalily · 30/01/2022 23:49

Believe it or not Derry Girls. The last episode where the cease fire is announced and it's all about hope - and now look at the mess we're in.

MrsAvocet · 30/01/2022 23:55

A video on Facebook in which a 12 year old girl with a rare genetic syndrome was talking about other people's reactions to her. She was incredibly eloquent.

Magissa · 30/01/2022 23:57

The Father. I lost my dad to dementia. This film is stunning showing dementia from the perspective of the person with dementia. I actually cried watching the trailer.

YouLando · 31/01/2022 00:07

The Nilsen Files, which concentrates on the victims of Denis Nilsen, rather than him. Just found it heartbreaking. The youngest identified victim was 14, and his mother died without ever knowing what had happened to him after he went missing.

DixonD · 31/01/2022 00:20

I watched Drop Dead Fred tonight with my daughter and that made me cry. One, because it was sad when she said goodbye to him near the end (my daughter cried which made me cry), and secondly because Rik M is no longer with us. I’ve not watched the film for years but I loved it as a child, my daughter older cousins loved it, and now she does. It’s timeless.

This is Us, Afterlife. Can't get through an episode of This is Us without blubbing.
