I want an affordable hard back A3 notebook with lined paper that is thick enough to write on both sides. It needs a pen holder. Not too thick or thin and not spiral bound. Not ugly.
I've been looking for months and can I find one?!

What things are you searching for that really shouldn't be this hard to find?

A can opener that lasts longer than a single use.

JSL52 · 30/01/2022 17:22

@HugeAckmansWife

a plain black girls swimming costume - even amazon has slim pickings. Nothing is in stock in the right size. The supermarkets just look at me when I ask them -"no, only in summer" FFS - swimming lessons happen all year round and DD needs plain black. She's a rule follower so won't go with mostly black.
Decathlon ?

@PattyPan

Potato cakes, haven’t been able to get hold of them for months for some reason
My Aldi have them

@Sparkletastic

Oestrogel 😩
This is scaring me! I haven't had problems getting hold of mine though.

I’ve often wondered if the cheese runs out as a GF is sloped, but I’m guessing not?

muddyford · 30/01/2022 17:24

Orange juice with bits from Sainsbury's. It's at least four months since it was in stock round here. And they had the nerve to give me a token for a free carton!

StrawberrySquash · 30/01/2022 17:27

Websites that tell you the internal dimensions of microwaves or gets you filter electrical appliances by something actually useful rather than just colour and price.

Yes! Websites are in general useless at good filters and letting you browse to find specific things.

StrawberrySquash · 30/01/2022 17:27

A list of all the stuff you can see on Netflix, hierarchically arranged.

Pythian · 30/01/2022 17:29

An A-line maxi skirt - not pleated, not shiny or sparkly, not elasticated waist, not midi/ends two inches above your ankles, no side-splits. I've looked - it just doesn't exist.

EffortsToBuild · 30/01/2022 17:34

I want an A5 notebook with very good quality paper (preferably cream coloured) and removable pages - which won't make the book look a mess.
I've started using a lovely fountain pen and it deserves a beautiful book to write in.
I can find nice notebooks but pages can't be removed and I can find spiral bound/removable pages but poor quality paper.
I just can't find both.

ChrissyPlummer · 30/01/2022 17:35

Lunchbox cartons of pineapple juice. None of the supermarkets round here (Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco) have them, they no longer even have a shelf label for them. Ocado don’t do them either. I like them to have with lunch at work.

Bionicname · 30/01/2022 17:50

A fast and convenient way to search across all the different streaming services, and select a film or series quickly. A much better browse and filter function would be nice as well. Why is it such an awful faff?

Fallagain · 30/01/2022 17:51

An alternative Al holiday with TUI which meets my requirements. Maybe I’m being too particular 🤷🏻‍♀️

dipdye · 30/01/2022 17:51

Cushions for chairs that are hard wearing. Only place is IKEA.

Children's I. E. Small, duvets. Once again, only IKEA.

I've thought the same thing. Surely it's in the works?

Minfilia · 30/01/2022 17:57

Low rise jeans.

High waisted jeans make me look 5 months pregnant, whereas low rise are always oddly flattering.

JustUseTheDoorSanta · 30/01/2022 18:02

Hellman's Olive Oil Mayo.

Also a gardener who won't just quote and then never arrange when to do the work because they're "too busy".

Georgyporky · 30/01/2022 18:06

E-mail addresses for online businesses.
Banks are the worst offenders - transact on-line but they want you to 'phone or write to them, or even visit a branch !!

This is 2022, not 1922.

Have you tried filofax? Nice quality paper and you can remove the pages, add dividers etc. The actual case part can be quite expensive but the refills are reasonably priced

Cultpens is good for stationery of all kinds. (But it’s not known as crack pens in my house for nothing)
OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 30/01/2022 18:23

Why did that quote the wrong post?

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 30/01/2022 18:29

@Dandelionflower

A toaster that can toast a whole slice of normal sized bread.
I have a 4-slice Next toaster that works if you toast a bit one way round then turn it halfway through as the bread shrinks a bit. My Dualit was awful and I wish I'd never bought it. My Mum has a cheapie Krups 2-slice one that works perfectly though, even with Warburtons!
HairyScaryMonster · 30/01/2022 18:32

A Netflix or similar account that supplies the shows that sit in the centre of the Venn diagram of two people's interests. I spend far to long looking on mine or DH's profile for something we might both enjoy.

Echobelly · 30/01/2022 18:33

Wedge heeled sandals that aren't espadrille style with the string down the side - I have a leg issue that means I can't wear spindly heels and need shoes where I can discreetly tag on an extra sole as I have one shorter leg, but I have't been able to find the right sort of wedges for ages now.

@SisterAgatha - I agree, sometimes when I'm out and about I just want a normal sized packet of crisps (but will also finish 'grab bag' ones) Blush
