I want an affordable hard back A3 notebook with lined paper that is thick enough to write on both sides. It needs a pen holder. Not too thick or thin and not spiral bound. Not ugly.
I've been looking for months and can I find one?!

What things are you searching for that really shouldn't be this hard to find?

Online clothes sites where you can remove all the petite/plus size/tall/maternity as appropriate for your needs.

You're either pregnant or you're not, if you're not, no one wants to scroll through pages and pages of maternity stuff. And if you are average height, you don't want to be thinking "oh that's just what I want!" only to discover it's only in petite.

If they can filter by size and price and you can search for maternity or petite, surely it should be possible to search for everything but maternity or petite?

Trousers that fit a child who is skinny but long legged. You would not believe the irritation of trying to find trousers for my son that don’t fall down every two minutes or stop mid-shin.

Also a pen that writes smoothly but never smudges. Looking for the impossible I think.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 30/01/2022 20:37

A family calendar that has at least 4 columns for different people and is wipeable so can be used with a dry wipe pen which preferably would come with said calendar and clip on! The first time this year I have not been able to find one and I have searched for hours!

@OhFuckBloodyHell

To be able to filter everything on Netflix / Disney+ by age rating!

I don't want kids films, I want shows aimed at adults but that are OK to watch with DD in the room.

Also bootcut maternity jeans that are under bump style and don't cost a fortune.

In profile settings on both Netflix and Disney+ you can choose the maximum age rating, doesn't have to be a 'kids' profile.

Barr Cherryade seems to have disappeared where I live. Checked three different supermarkets. Nowhere to be found
Lidl and Aldi both sell Barr's cherryade multipacks. It might just be in Scotland though.

@Bionicname

A fast and convenient way to search across all the different streaming services, and select a film or series quickly. A much better browse and filter function would be nice as well. Why is it such an awful faff?
Not sure if this is what you mean or I’ve misunderstood but if you Google the film or series you want to watch, Google will provide you a list of where it’s available.
Thatkid · 30/01/2022 20:42

@HugeAckmansWife

You need a speedo medallist swimming costume. Completely plain black apart from a white speedo logo on the hip. Even that can be coloured in with a black sharpie if your daughters school are as much of an arse about it as my daughters last school were.

I access my streaming subs through a Fire Stick and can search all the streaming sites even the ones I don't subscribe to.

School trousers for a small waisted (27-28) rugby playing teen who has rugby thighs! Everything is either skin tight on the thighs or look like dad trousers and need to be pulled in huge amounts with a belt. Thank God it's his last year.

Thatkid · 30/01/2022 20:53

Mine would be a 100% cotton, high thread count extra, extra deep (I.e. 20 inches or more) fitted sheet for a superking bed. Without having to take out a small mortgage to afford the damn thing.

Most extra deep fitted sheets are 18 inches which isn't enough when you have 6 inches of memory foam on top of an already thick mattress. That much memory foam is kind of essential thanks to crappy joints (several) and a desire to want to wake up pain free in the morning.

I feel your pain, my son it too skinny even for the most skinny trousers, and pjs are a nightmare.

I've just downloaded an app called Reelgood which claims to do this. Plus if there's something you want to see which isn't on any of your services yet you can tell it to alert you when it appears. Seems good so far but I haven't tried it out properly yet.
MrsClatterbuck · 30/01/2022 21:01

One thing I'm missing since the pandemic started is Heinz mustard pickle. Seems to have disappeared completely. Love it on sausages and burgers when barbecuing.

Cronehands · 30/01/2022 21:11

A builder to do a job inside my house.

6, second hand, oak dining chairs at a decent price. Not 2, not 4. Not with a table. 6. Yes, I am fussy.

DuesToTheDirt · 30/01/2022 21:15

@WeirdlyKind, thanks for that - the Portwest one looks pretty good so I'll keep a note of it. (Of course I've now bought a non-hi-viz jacket, so it will be a few years before I'm on the hunt again.)

I think I saw the other one in Mountain Warehouse, but I missed a couple of things off my wishlist - a minimum of 3, preferably 4, zipped pockets, and medium weight. These things, along with the hood, rule out most cycling and running jackets.

ToWhere · 30/01/2022 21:20

Plain bog standard rubber hot water bottle without the cover. Looked in The Range, B&M and Home Bargains. There were loads of fluffy things before Christmas but already have the covers.

HairyShins · 30/01/2022 21:22

Oh yes, workmen. Not even fussy at this point. Just want someone to turn up and do a half decent job.

Huge list of jobs. Money in the bank. We've already given up on ever having a couple of things done.

Sometimes I wonder if we're on a secret builder blacklist for not having good enough biscuits.

@towhere try boots. They weren't in my store but are showing online. www.boots.com/boots-hot-water-bottle-uncovered-10188442

Asda had some by the pharmacy bit last time I was in there

@HerRoyalHappiness

A toaster that can toast a whole slice of normal sized bread. I have a breville toaster specifically made to fit Warburton bread.
We had one of those. Found it very flimsy and it broke in less than a year. We replaced it with a long slice toaster from Aldi, half the price and does a good job.
FaintlyMacabre · 30/01/2022 21:48

Rice paper wraps for making Vietnamese style spring rolls. They’ve just disappeared from all the places I used to buy them.
Also dried pears. They’ve vanished too.

HerRoyalHappiness · 30/01/2022 21:49

@Lincslady53 mines been going strong for about 4 years now with almost daily use! I love it and have toast almost every day for my breakfast.

MatronicO6 · 30/01/2022 21:51

Women's clothes with decent sized pockets.

I had one of those. Lasted 8 months and went back to cheaply ones
