Is anyone awake??? In absolute agony!!

All day today I've had a pain under my big toe, right on the ball, but tonight the pain is excruciating, I can't bend my toe fully and have to hop to get around. Its really swollen and horrendous to touch? Does anyone know if its possible to break a bone Here?? I've never felt pain like it

consider taking vit d3 and magnesium supplement. calcium too if you don't eat dairy.

Going forward, if you are going to keep doing that much walking which is fantastic for your health overall, I would invest in some high quality orthotic shoes.

My sons athletic friend got his first gout attack at 20, so you can get it young.

Hi @Mammaof - I’ve known two men (only) with gout and it was years ago. All I remember hearing was that it was too much hard liquor & too much red meat. Looking back at those two guys, I never questioned it because they were older, drank too much, were overweight & their diets were probably crap.
Instead of guessing, can’t you at least call? You’ll drive yourself crazy if you don’t. I wish I could help. I know that one guy’s entire hand was swollen and the other guy’s entire foot was swollen, not just one area like yours.
Nobody on here is a medical professional.
Unless you get really lucky.
Please just call and explain your circumstances and you’ll have at least some sort of an idea — and way less anxiety. Good luck! x

Apologies if somebody else had said the same. If it is hot to touch, it is gout.

I used to get it too. Drink a lot of water for now and look at the gout killer website (I think US based). It really helped me. Good luck (I know it is very painful). So sorry.?
