I think it's got to be. I read he was planning to release only a portion of the report and in a few weeks. Now it appears to be maybe even today.

@Youaremypenguin seriously, bored? It's ok if the Prime minister is an idle lying piece of shit as long as he's entertaining?

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 26/01/2022 15:49

@tootiredtobother

have not read the whole thread, but i'm not bothered about PartyGate, what we need is to wise up and deal with Putin, or we are F....., a bit of cake is nothing set against the threat of Russia gaining anymore territory. The petty squabbles and jockying for position on both sides of the house is shameful, and the constant media hyping is not helping. Bigger fish to fry here people
There has been a war in the Ukraine for years - Russia invaded Crimea a while ago. This has affected you how?

I do not want to minimise the issue of tensions between Russia and NATO - but they are nothing new. I feel in the last few weeks the media have been priming us for retaliation. It might be a distraction measure or not.

Certainly in the UK the most pressing problem is the corrupt, amoral government and the person at the top who has shown nothing but contempt for the public time and again.

I don't want him ousted out over party gate as although I think he should go it is a side issue. I think the way we left Afgahistan was appalling and the fact that the PM appears to have been involved in the evacuation of animals above the people - leaving many in horrific concisions to me is far reprehensible.

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 17:01

Most recent polls. Looks as if a lot of us think he should go.

I heard it was someone called Alexander Johnson ? .. a distant relation maybe 🤔 In Latin.

Why is anyone surprised, he had previously been sacked by the Tory party for sexual misconduct, the man has no morals, he is a proven liar, yet people voted in their droves for the vile man.

I think he played the role of a Brexit supporter, not ever thinking they would win the vote - he looked absolutely devastated when the results were announced. His play was always for the PM position, to oust Theresa May whilst still staying in the EU. The country voting for Brexit was not really in his plans.

Brexit was always going to be a nightmare as half the promises that were made were absolute BS. Whoever was PM during this time was always going to end up being the scapegoat for everything that went wrong. He had a reprieve due to COVID but he’s on his way out. All these reports of breaking lockdown rules etc have been released by people in his own government and as far as I’m concerned it couldn’t happen to a nicer person.

Eightiesfan · 26/01/2022 17:41

It’s the Gray report. Sue Gray is a senior civil servant. It will be interesting to see if BJ will get away with not releasing the full report.

itsgettingweird · 26/01/2022 18:24

Yes eighties iirc he was originally anti brexit and switched because he could see the way the country was swinging and he wanted to be PM?

ItsMsAtomicBobToYou · 26/01/2022 18:26

@itwasntaparty

He's a fuckwit, but who on earth is better? He's got some balls to brazen it out now. I think he'll be gone by tomorrow but walking into the Ukraine mess, who is going to be able to deal with it. Not suggesting Boris can, I don't think anyone can. Such a mess.
A mouldy potato in a fright wig would do a better job.

Honestly, he's an absolute laughing stock. The more that comes out, the more of an entitled knob he looks.

In terms of IF a GE was called tomorrow opinion polls (as of 15th jan) Labour would be 11 seats short of a majority, so hung parliament....Bojo would be projected to lose his seat though as would Raab and Eustice.

Scotland seem to be the issue in Lab bagging the majority.

The thought of Patel or Truss (who is popular with members for some inexplicable reason...pork farms or cheese anyone?!) as a possible replacement fill me with utter dread 😩

We won’t have an election tomorrow though.

I wonder if Wes Streeting will become the new Labour leader before the next GE.
