I think it's got to be. I read he was planning to release only a portion of the report and in a few weeks. Now it appears to be maybe even today.

Curtains YANBU
He survives YABU

MarshaBradyo · 26/01/2022 13:20

Who is actually leaking it? Cummings?

Likely yep - but planned so each leak was timed fir maximum impact - by dragging it out

WhatsTheEffingPoint · 26/01/2022 13:21

If he goes, I hope all the other party goers are forced to resign at the same time. They are equally as bad, they knew the rules as much as Boris, so don't hang it all round his neck, they need to be held accountable too.

Topseyt · 26/01/2022 13:23

@AnotherMansCause

What report?
Is that a serious question?

Careful what you wish for, OP! I don't like him, and very possibly he may have to go. I certainly wouldn't shed any tears if he did resign, but the thought of who could replace him isn't exactly comforting. Priti Patel would be horrendous. Dishy Rishi wouldn't be great either. Jacob Rees Smug - errrm, lets not even think about that.

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/01/2022 13:24

More evidence of lies emerging

delilahbucket · 26/01/2022 13:29

I'm not sure he will go. This has got Cummings written all over it, but I actually think he's being paid to do it. This isn't just Boris being brought down, it's the whole party.

Douchebaggette · 26/01/2022 13:31

P Patel would be a good choice (bear with me!) to replace him. She will be forced to call a GE she cannot possibly win...

MorningStarling · 26/01/2022 13:33

Why would she be forced to call an election? Or do you mean in 2024?
Douchebaggette · 26/01/2022 13:38

Because I don't think the public will accept her in post - meaning that the Tories face further damage ahead of the 2024 election if they leave her there and wait. I think they will feel they have to run a GE campaign before more damage is done. i.e. backbenchers forcing the issue based off discontent from their constituents.

And I don't think they can win it.

But I am no political mastermind Grin

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 13:38

She will be forced to call a GE she cannot possibly win...

Will she? Just because Rees Mogg says so?

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 26/01/2022 13:39

He's a compulsive liar, apparently he's been in parliament telling everyone he's lowering taxes and he's helping people with their utility bills Confused

This is simply not true. He's not in charge of his faculties. He's lost the plot.

Thirtytimesround · 26/01/2022 13:39

Well YANBU, because he should go. He’s incompetent, unpopular, and unethical what on earth would be the point of keeping him?

But he hasn’t got the integrity to resign, he’ll have to be carried out of office kicking and screaming like a two year old at a closing softplay centre.

And he’s quite deliberately surrounded himself with self-interested cronies who are only there because of personal loyalty to their king. Remember when he purged the Conservative party and removed from the party the 21 Conservative MPs who refused to vote for him? No? Funny how people seem to forget and forgive, over and over, the wrong this man has done.

Just a little purge of moderate Conservatives
Just a little illegal prorugation
Just a little historic death toll worse than all comparable countries
Just a little party in lockdown
Juat another little party in lockdown

Just a little, little man, so desperate for attention and adulation that he bullied his way into a job he’s incompetent at, with devastating consequences for a nation.

And now Liz Truss is trying to give him credit for the vaccine program. What on earth did BJ contribute there?! It was invented by the scientists BJ ignores, and rolled out by external management consultants and the NHS.

I don’t see a ‘success’ 🤣🤣 I see widespread inflation and poverty and disease. I see incompetent management.

And so it all comes down to the Conservative backbenchers. How many of them have the integrity to write a letter of no confidence?

I wish instead the system was you had to write an annual “letter of confidence” in the PM. Imagine how many letters of confidence BJ would get. Probably just one from Nadine.

MarshaBradyo · 26/01/2022 13:40

On a GE the cons would be mad to call it with their majority

Not sure Labour can... haven’t looked at numbers

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 13:40

Post of the day @Thirtytimesround. 👏🏻

AmbushedByCake · 26/01/2022 13:41

Even if he goes as PM it won't do him any harm. He'll make a fortune with newspaper columns, a book, and private speeches. He'll be replaced by some other odious cunt without a shred of morality or human decency. Its sickening.

AmbushedByCake · 26/01/2022 13:42

Perfectly said, @Thirtytimesround

JustJam4Tea · 26/01/2022 13:43

@ToykotoLosAngeles

He'll go at the exact moment the people in charge of leaking this stuff want him to.

I suspect they've a Downing St stag and hen do to expose yet.

Not sure about the stag and hen do...but agree with the first bit.

His party haven't decided who is going to replace him yet.

oncemoreunto · 26/01/2022 13:43

@AnotherMansCause

What report?
😂
JustJam4Tea · 26/01/2022 13:44

He's also lied about getting those stray animals out of Afghanistan. The emails from him agreeing to it, which he said he didn't do, have just been published by a House of Commons Committee..

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 13:47

I honestly don’t care what he does afterwards. Whatever it is won’t be inflicting incalculable harm on the country. There are halfway decent Tories and we know which ones they are because they’re quiet as mice right now. I reckon Graham Brady won’t be able to open his office door for letters once the Gray report is in.
Brainwave89 · 26/01/2022 13:47

i am concerned his team is now figuring out ways to cling on. He will argue that No 10 is an office/workplace and therefore special rules apply, and the report will not say directly he lied and disregarded the rules. He will therefore have a degree of plausible deniability. The real test will come at the local elections in May. Only if these go badly will he be forced out.

averylongtimeago · 26/01/2022 13:47

@JennyForeigner

I hope it isn't. I want the fat oaf to stick around for another year, during which he is held accountable every single day, and poisoning the Tories for a generation.
This. He is just the face of the utter corruption and self serving incompetence of the Tory party.
PrincessNikla · 26/01/2022 13:47

@Iwantmyoldnameback

But TBH I’m bored of all this now. There are far more trying issues out there such as Russia/Ukraine, they’re essentially trivialising all that by wittering on about bloody parties.

It's not about parties it's about lying hypocrisy!

Hello Carrie, they’re essentially trivialising all that by wittering on about bloody parties. talk about missing the fucking point

This is simply not true. He's not in charge of his faculties. He's lost the plot.

Ministers were quoted a few days ago that they were "mulling over a £500 payment to help people pay their increased energy bills"

So in other words, yeah talking pish to detract from the lies and corruption.

It's quite incredible and to think we asked the great populus to vote for or against leaving the EU....

"I think Gove has issues. Hasn't been seen in a while. Lots of rumours."

Intriguing. Can you expand on this?
