Do you think guilty or innocent

OP posts:
Roussette · 02/01/2022 19:52

LockdownBear someone on this thread linked such an interesting article about that photo.

It was fascinating.

Here it is.

www.vanityfair.com/style/2021/12/how-the-only-known-photo-of-prince-andrew-and-the-pedophile-happened/amp

How and why it happened is so interesting

StoneofDestiny · 02/01/2022 19:53

Guilty.
Of course he was involved with the whole vile thing - by his own admission the sex trafficker Maxwell was such a close friend he brought her and Epstein to Royal Palaces to relax and party with him . What do you think they talked about? Epstein even gave Sarah Ferguson thousands to help pay of her debts. Epstein's butler said the house was covered in nude girls photographs amongst other sex paraphernalia 'you would have to be blind to miss'. We even saw Andrew opening the door to the house!

He is guilty as sin and being protected by The Queen. Long overdue we got rid of this family.

TatianaBis · 02/01/2022 19:58

@Classicblunder

Have you ever seen any of the abuse victims go in large networks go after the other abuse victims for recruiting them? I’m trying to think of a single instance.

RoyalFamilyFan · 02/01/2022 20:00

@Lockdownbear anyone transported across state lines by a pimp for prostitution is being trafficked. That is easy to prove.

merrymouse · 02/01/2022 20:15

Why? It's was an everyday thing for him. He wasn't 'randy Andy' for no reason.

Because his day job was representing and supporting multiple charities that support abused and deprived children.

Because every year he stood next to the Queen on Remembrance Sunday and represented the armed forces - organisations that ask young people to die for their country.

Because people were (and got all I know still are) expected to bow and curtesy and call him ‘your royal highness’.

Crazycrazylady · 02/01/2022 20:21

I'm not sure really.
I think he thought that everyone woman in the world wanted to have sex with him. I honestly don't think it would have occurred to him that someone had to be coerced and or trafficked to do so.
There were unfortunately plenty of willing women who wanted to all around him?

I'm going to wait for the verdict to pass judgement

It's unlikely as I said - I think you could argue that the prosecution of Allison Mack might fall into that category though that was a criminal prosecution not a civil suit brought by a victim

TatianaBis · 02/01/2022 20:49

Allison Mack was a working adult recruiting adults to a sex cult.

welshpolarbear · 02/01/2022 20:50

Guilty - but as mad as it makes me he's going to get away with it isn't he.

CaveMum · 02/01/2022 20:51

@Roussette and @TatianaBis re the source of Epstein’s wealth, I recommend (again!) the series of Real Crime Profile episodes on Epstein. They discuss one theory which is that he wheedled his way into the life of billionaire Leslie Wexner (who owned the mansion in NYC) and somehow took advantage of him which saw him “gifted” the NYC house as well as being given Power of Attorney and made a Trustee of his foundation. While there is no proof that I am aware of, one suggestion is that they were lovers and that the transfer of money/property was buying Epstein’s silence.

TatianaBis · 02/01/2022 21:02

Will do. Wexner is interesting because he’s often given as an example of wealthy people that Epstein was paid to advise. But what advice did he give or was qualified to give? Was Epstein actually paid or did he just take Wexner’s money.

CaveMum I will look into that. Was Wexner the Victorias Secrets founder, I think he was. And he paid Epstein a fortune to look after his fortune. It is exceedingly murky.

Roussette · 02/01/2022 21:12

I will repeat what I said before chaos

You are victim blaming in the worst possible way. Again. Your post is not worth answering in any detail. Plus I don't want to be rude. Which rules out an answer from me.

CaveMum · 02/01/2022 21:12

Yes Wexner is the Victoria’s Secret guy. It appears that Epstein had no qualifications to be a financial adviser and from what I can gather he wasn’t even very good at it. The only conclusion you can draw is that he was either incredibly charismatic and able to convince people to trust him with their money; that he was operating some kind of pyramid scheme; or possibly that even at this early stage he was blackmailing people somehow.

CaveMum · 02/01/2022 21:14

First episode in the series on Epstein here: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/real-crime-profile/id1081244497?i=1000451942611
OverByYer · 02/01/2022 21:17

The podcast I listened to described JE as having power of attorney for Wexner's finances, and Wexner has admitted that JE stole £143 million from him.
Its so murky.

StormzyinaTCup · 02/01/2022 21:18

I posted this a few months back on one of the other PA threads, it’s another Vanity Fair article but looks at the relationship between Wexner and Epstein. Apologies if already linked on this thread somewhere and I’ve missed it:

@CaveMum

Thank you! Just subscribed on my podcast app and downloaded the Maxwell episodes! Need to go for a long walk tomorrow and listen

CathyorClaire · 02/01/2022 21:30

Interestingly it appears Fergie et al are whooping it up at the millstone ski chalet.

Yep. The same one with the missed payments the Yorks were reportedly on the verge of being sued for.

Seems all the nasty has mysteriously blown over. No wonder he's hoping the court case will go the same way.

CaveMum · 02/01/2022 21:35

@Roussette I’ve listened to the first part of the Maxwell episodes, not got round to the second part yet but it only dropped this morning. Word of warning Jim Clemente gets very angry and sweary about one of the “experts” called in Maxwell’s trial and the way she dismissed the experiences of the victims.

Roussette · 02/01/2022 21:39

Thanks CaveMum no worries on the warnings, not surprised he got sweary, I would !

Just reead that Vanity Fair article. Gobsmacking. I can only imagine it's blackmail of Wexner or somehow the vile Epstein hit a vulnerability of him and capitalised on it. Wexner is 84 and still alive. I wonder what he thinks now.

That’s a really interesting article, thanks for sharing.

OverByYer · 02/01/2022 21:42

I'm convinced his whole fortune was from blackmailing the wealthy, I think he drew them in, got them to compromise themselves sexually, filmed them, then blackmailed them.

I think he definitely blackmailed people but I’m not sure it was for money. There’s a Sky Documentary about Maxwell which also features Epstein and they do talk about his money, the vast wealth came well before Maxwell. it’s all very shady and there’s no doubt he was a criminal who got away with a huge amount.
