In finding love.....
I am ok with everything else, but the "failure"feeling is very hard to handle.

Your not a failure. Relationships aren’t always the right thing and I know plenty of women who are married and very unhappy.
Taking control is very brave and far better than coming to the end of your fertility without having a longed for child because you didn’t meet ‘the one.’

How brave to know what you want (a family) and go out and make it happen. I’ve known quite a few single parents by choice who always say it is the best thing they could ever have done. Wishing you luck with the process

Is this when you compare your life to the imaginary life of a family with 2.5 kids? You also haven’t been the victim of DV, ben dumped when pregnant or any other of a myriad of problems on here. Love your life. Love yourself. Live your choices and be proud of yourself. Anything else is self sabotage.

Good luck with the babyFlowers

Aa a single woman, I used a sperm donor to have my beautiful twins.
Yes, I would have liked to have done it the "normal" way and met a partner to have a family with, but time was running out, so I did it in my own.
Maybe in the future (far future!) I'll meet someone, but even if I don't, I have my wonderful children.

@EachandEveryone
Assuming you are staying in the UK for treatment, Denmark and California are the most popular options. There's very little UK sperm, despite what clinics may advertise - mine only had 4 available, 2 were wrong ethnicity and one was only allowed one more child under the limits. Just do a google search (that's what the clinic will tell you!), and have a look. California is more expensive than Denmark but there's more choice, and their websites are a lot easier to use!

No way a failure - good on you! It’s not easy but go for it...
