@ChangeAndHelp It’s a bit outing because it’s a one off, but it is by a Brighton neon artist. My DH managed to buy it because the guy was doing a studio clearance, it would have been £4K+ from a gallery.
We put it up today.

Nothing for Christmas- part of a mutual no buy pact. We will treat ourselves afterwards though.

Money is a bit tight this year so we agreed no big spending. He got me

So a mixture of things I'm pleased about and random cheap crap. Bit disappointed as I got him thoughtful presents which I know he loves, and spent a lot more. My own fault for not setting a budget and expectations together.

A gold necklace with my initial on, a matching gold bracelet, a hat, some shoes, a Sweaty Betty coat, leggings & jumper, a leather keyring, an All Saints jumper, a Zara jumper and a dressing gown. Well and truly spoilt and I loved it.

West End Theatre tickets - good seats - and arranged for my mum to babysit. Plus a recipe book I'd mentioned, nail polish and nice chocolates from the DC.

I sent DH links to the stuff I wanted and got most of it. A mirror with light all round the outside for doing make up and a make up organiser case. Also a Pandora bangle that's too small but can be changed and some charms and Lego flowers. Sometimes I wish he could employ some critical thinking and think about what I might like as it would be nice to have a surprise but I can't complain really.

A pair of UGG boots which I requested, a kettle I’ve been nagging for (our hot water tap isn’t hot enough) and a bauble to go on our tree.

A nine day rail trip through Austria with a perfect [for me] itinerary. You could have knocked me down with a feather as he has NEVER done anything remotely romantic or tailored to me ever before. 45 years married, if it wasn't for the fact that we are joined at the hip I'd wonder......
I got him nothing [as agreed] because we don't need anything and just buy what we want. A bit of back story though - I had a big birthday this year which he didn't really acknowledge and made it known that I was very upset about it so I'm guessing it;'s something to do with that. I'm pretty chuffed either way.

Bottle of gin, tequila and port - we agreed to not buy each other gifts but he was trying to not come empty handed
He did buy for my adult DC though (they are not his)
We don’t live together so he arrived Xmas eve and offered to vac whole house and anything else - on Xmas day he cleared table washed and dried etc

Dave Grohl’s book, some new perfume and 2 bottles of my favourite shower gel.

I was really happy with it all 😊

Stocking stuffers and I got the same for him. Maternity leave upcoming so we're saving money. We discussed it previously so we knew what page we were on and no one felt disappointed or embarrassed

A fireplace grate, which is what I asked for. I am v pleased, as the hassle of measuring, ordering, etc is as important as actually buying it.
