National lampoons is absolutely the best. Elf is a bit meh. I like bill Murray scrooged and love it's a wonderful life.

Polar express is very hard going. IMO.

But but it's so overrated!

We love Elf! Highlight of Christmas is my now 5 year old going round calling everyone a cotton headed ninny-muggins 😂
We do also love Arthur Christmas though. And we watched The Christmas Chronicles last year, that’s lovely too.
We’ve tried Muppet Christmas Carol but our kids hate it! 😳

The musical animated version is much better.

Not one for the smaller ones but Bridget Jones diary is one of my favourites.

Tried to watch elf today, DC (2&6) were not impressed. They prefer the ones with talking dogs.

YANBU definitely top two. I think National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation might just pip it to the post though

Are all better by far. I have tried to like Elf. It’s ok although I really can’t stand Will Ferrell. He’s so fucking irritating.

No, Arthur Christmas is.

If you’ve not seen the Netflix series The Movies That Made Us, then I can recommend watching the Elf episode. Actually I can recommend them all, the Back to the Future one is incredible. Most of these films were so close to either not being made at all or being something very very different.

Scrooge with bill Murray is the best.

Scrooged every time. And I cry every Christmas Eve when we watch it.

I've never managed to sit through all of it. It's slightly creepy in my book.

Arthur Christmas on the other hand is glorious and I love it. Will watch it at least twice more over the next couple of weeks.

I was weeping at the end when they are all singing....and I never cry at films or tvs programmes, not ever!

We also use "you sit on a throne of LIES" quite often.

The first time I watched Elf I wasn’t overly fussed with it but every time I watch it I love it just a little bit more. It is definitely one of my favourites, along with Arthur Christmas and Muppet Christmas Carol.

However, my favourite Christmas movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I absolutely can’t stand Polar Express and can’t understand why it is so popular.

I don't like Elf! I think it's actually my least favourite.

The Grinch is the best IMO.
