AIBU to be utterly fed up of seeing Snoopy in M&S

Am I only one fed up of seeing Snoopy clothing in M&S? He's on women's pyjamas, slippers, socks, knickers, sweatshirts and heaven knows what else. Do they really think the majority of women want to buy this stuff?

Sorry if this has been said already but rather Snoopy than that awful Pig!!

I like Snoopy, but M&S do go overboard once they've got a theme going. Getting the most from their licensing fee. (Not the Pig, they own that hence it's hideously everywhere).

Mickey and Minnie though, just why? Those characters must be 100 years old by this point. It would have been like putting the Fairy Liquid baby on clothes when we were kids. Who wants clothes with their granny’s childhood cartoon characters on?

Yes, because probably the two most well known cartoon characters in the world are definitely comparable to some baby on a bottle of washing up liquid

I haven’t seen any Snoopy in our local big M&S, and wouldn’t buy any character clothing anyway.

What they do have is Pesky Percy Pig everywhere! I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s sick of the sight of the Pink Peril. And sorry, M&S, but Percy Pig wrapping paper is not Christmassy!

I like snoopy and would consider the pyjamas.

Agree about Percy pig though. My local one is heaving with that crap. I think they have way overestimated how popular it is!!

I’m not a fan of big logos or characters on clothing - I’ve got one slogan jumper which I rarely wear - maybe my taste in clothing is just different to people who prefer those things I don’t understand why friends is such a big hit for children character wise this year either My bug bear is too many synthetic fabrics or cheaply made nightwear - comfort is key here

I’ve noticed that! I do most of my shopping online and I keep seeing a top I like and it’s effing viscose. For a £90 top! Viscose is hot and uncomfortable, especially at my sweaty time of life. And it always looks cheap. Sick of it.

Ahh as a child of the 70s I loved Snoopy. Do they do a nightshirt? I’m currently wearing a Pink Panther nightshirt but that’s looking a bit tatty . I wouldn’t wear cartoons in anything else though

Snoopy is a vast improvement on all the 'be kind' shite aimed at girls, and ONLY girls.

MN doesn't like character clothing as it's considered "common" - though they'd never admit to feeling that way

I have the sweatshirt, I never usually wear character clothing but love Snoopy and my younger two DC do too, they were thrilled seeing me wearing it. They have both the Peanuts bedding sets as well, it's rare to find cotton bedding with a character they like double sizes.

YANBU Op, but only because Woodstock is the real brains and star of the Peanuts world.

I have Kermit on my ancient nightshirt.

I hate Disney, but I absolutely adore Snoopy. I still wear my Snoopy watch daily, which my parents bought me some 45 years ago. I have various items of Snoopy clothing, including PJ's. I bet you can't guess one of my dogs names 😂

I don't mind being common ... I got the Snoopy dressing gown from Asda for Christmas last year, I love it. I also have a couple of sweaters with Micky on them. If that makes me childish then so be it.
For Christmas this year I have bought plenty of character emblazoned underwear for DD, DS also has the Marvel socks and Assassins Creed boxers.....I give no shits if other people don't like them, they are not wearing them

I really struggled to find a nightie earlier this year. I wanted something more sophisticated and just saw character stuff or slogan stuff everywhere so I can see your point OP. I don't look quite right in those sorts of clothes.

I quite enjoy seeing some of it though and yes, Peanuts is popular atm.

I always hate seeing cartoon characters on adult clothing. Primark have sold Disney things for years and it makes me cringe so much picturing a fully grown adult wearing a Disney princess nightgown or Minnie Mouse pyjamas.

Well, there was the Peanuts Movie which came out in 2015. And there are currently two new Snoopy series on Apple TV. Snoopy has been a household name for decades.
