To throw diamond ring away

I'm wondering...what did you do with your wedding/engagement ring after divorce?

Gave mine to MIL to put in her safe for Dd when she’s 18. I had one ring that was an heirloom type thing which was the nice one, so want Dd to have that. The other rings (wedding band and official engagement ring) weren’t worth anything.

Anyway was a good job I didn’t keep them here as I got burgled soon after I bought my own house

I sold them both to feed myself and my kids

remade into a signet ring for son?
