A young Elvis Presley

No one can beat a young Jacques Dutronc.

Bussinbussin · 14/12/2021 03:55

He was the best of his mediocre-looking bunch.

I'm not a fan of the music but Axl Rose and Jon Bon Jovi are both pretty gorgeous.

YouGotThisKeepGoing · 14/12/2021 04:08

I don’t think he’s ever even been a good looking for a normal person never mind best looking rockstar of all time.

steff13 · 14/12/2021 04:10

@niceupthedanceagain

Elvis.
Those lips, those eyes, those hips!
ImmutableSexQueen · 14/12/2021 04:14

Paul McCartney was never, ever goodlooking in any way. And he was never a rock star. He wouldn't know rock if you hit him over the head with it. The Beatles were a rockabilly band who found drugs - nothing more.

Robert Plant was goodlooking and rock. Greg Lake also - in fact, he was much prettier than RP. Michael Des Barres was beautiful and rock.

Boobicoosg · 14/12/2021 04:48

He was a rock star - in terms of what a rock star was in the early 60s. They would have been the ‘rockiest’ thing white people would have ever heard. Clearly Chuck Berry paved the way but to deny their roots and importance as a rock and roll band is silly. You know the term rock encompasses a huge genre and has evolved so no point being facetious about it. I mean, I could sit here like a twat berating you for suggesting Zeppelin are rock when clearly they are a hippy folk blues act. I don’t actually think that and I love them, but you see what I mean.

But no, Mcartney for me wasn’t that good looking. Too much chubby cheek! (Facial).

SisterBeaverhausen · 14/12/2021 04:52

After watching Get Back I found his confidence, humour and creativity really sexy. Also the beard. God that beard.

ImustLearn2Cook · 14/12/2021 04:54

Well if we’re talking about best looking rockstars of all time I would like to throw Debbie Harry (Blondie) into the mix.

RobertSmithsLipstick · 14/12/2021 04:58

Michael Hutchence wasn't too shabby.

Hydrate · 14/12/2021 05:04

No.

SteppinOutwithMyBaby · 14/12/2021 05:14

@backtolifebacktoreality In 1969, Michael Hutchins was only nine years old.

Jackson Brown, drool, on the other hand, was 21.

SteppinOutwithMyBaby · 14/12/2021 05:17

@backtolifebacktoreality I'm sorry, I completely misunderstood the question, I took it to mean in the year 1969, Paul McCartney was the best looking rockstar, rather than Paul McCartney in 1969 was...

Sadly, I've always thought I had a reasonably good comprehension skills. They must be fading with age.

Moonmelodies · 14/12/2021 05:31

The Beatles were never a rockabilly band.

RobertSmithsLipstick · 14/12/2021 05:34

It's my comprehension skills.
They're a bit shit at 5.30am. Blush

ImustLearn2Cook · 14/12/2021 05:44

@RobertSmithsLipstick I interpreted Of all time to mean in 1969 Paul McCartney was the best looking rockstar that ever was or ever will be. So, I would include Michael Hutchins too. He was gorgeous.

middleager · 14/12/2021 05:46

I was always more of a George fan, but by God, Paul is definitely on fire in the 'Get Back' documentary.

Other contenders for me are
Jim Morrison
Brian Jones
David Gilmore/Roger Waters (yes, I know the latter is a required taste, but they both look good).

ImustLearn2Cook · 14/12/2021 05:47

Hutchence not whatever I wrote

CatsBooksAndCoffee · 14/12/2021 05:48

None of the aforementioned do anything for me , though I absolutely love George Harrison's humour.
John Fogarty was really sexy back then. That accent too ( where's the 'swoon' emoji?!)

loislovesstewie · 14/12/2021 05:48

No, it's definitely Jim Morrison for me. He was so beautiful. I still go weak thinking about him.

MyOtherProfile · 14/12/2021 05:48

@WorkingItOutAsIGo

Bruce Springsteen in THAT photo - all man to Paul’s pretty boy.
What photo please?

Aquired taste! Damb you, 5.51am!
Mummyoflittledragon · 14/12/2021 05:57

God no! I preferred him in 1966. Wink
