@PaulForeverYokoNever I had to search for this thread after seeing it in active a few days ago but not having read it. OP I have never found Paul McCartney attractive - but omg, after watching Get Back , I had to come and say yes - you are right. He is absolutely beautiful in it. Incredibly attractive. The way he played his guitar, his skin, magnetic. When he is playing on the rooftop at the end he was magnificent.
Yes lots on The Beatles - Peter Jackson has just released ‘Get Back’. It’s long. But really worth watching. I’ve never been a particular fan, and they were well before my formative years. But I really enjoyed it and have a new respect/understanding/love for their music. It’s fascinating watching the creative process unfold in such talented musicians.
They were much less pretentious than I thought they would have been by that stage. And kind of refreshingly adult, living adult lives, though they were the most famous group in the world. I liked John, Paul (though he is definitely a type A control freak), and Ringo much more than I thought I would. George had been my favourite going in, and though he was undoubtedly in a difficult position with his song writing coming up against the Lennon/McCartney juggernaut, I find the least likeable.
Yoko was quite bizarre, her passiveness, her emotionlessness was it a performance? A kind of artistic performance piece? It was hard to read in modern day terms.
