Am vaccinated and RSVP'd yes. Not old or CEV but I am wary.

Would you go? They've likely paid for me already. I have booked a hotel etc.

Doubts over whether it will even happen at this rate.

Do you think it will happen? (if it doesn't, I guess I wait for now and do nothing) and if it does, would you go?

Whilst I’m conscious of and have huge sympathy for all those affected by Covid - be that through awful loss, Long Covid or financial difficulties - life does go on. Be sensible, wear a mask, wash your hands and enjoy the wedding.

If you go, just accept the fact that there's a good chance you might catch covid. I have been ultra cautious, but accepted an invitation of a family lunch, about a dozen of us, all double/triple jabbed, all tested negative that morning - by a week later, half of us tested positive.

Those constantly quaking in their boots over it - do you spend every waking moment shitting yourself that you’ll get cancer today or have a heart attack? Both are far more likely than dying of covid.

I’ve been to big family gatherings, friends parties, the pub, shops, a concert and the flicks. Of the people involved in these, 2 tested positive.

Of course you should go. What is the point of putting your life on hold for any longer? If you were to catch it, the overwhelming likelihood is that it will be like a cold for you or you might not even know you had it. Would you not go to a wedding for fear of catching a cold?

There’s no money to compensate the hospitality industry or provide furlough again so I can’t see anything like this being cancelled. I hope you can enjoy it xx
