DS16 walking like Frankenstein so that he doesn't crease his new trainers

Is this a thing now? DS says he can't flex his feet as his trainers will get creases in them and they won't look so good. The trainers in question are Air Force 1's which he bought with his own money from his Saturday job. He's been walking around the house like this for 2 days now.

AIBU or is this completely bonkers? And does anybody else have stories of their teens doing mad things that they can share? Thanks.

DD does this. Going out for dinner, tracksuit and trainers. Walking the dog, dress and heels

Well, obviously.

Going out for dinner, there's about 5 minutes where anyone sees your lower half and the only people to notice your top half are the people you're already out with - ie, usually, your parents.

Walking the dog is an hour or so where you might encounter anyone.
