Mine is that I can make a meal out of any old shit I find in the back of the cupboard/fridge! I should be on that old Ainsley cooking show where they give you a potato and a banana and ask you to make a meal 🤣

Freezer Tetris
No matters how many chicken nuggets, pepperoni pizzas or fish fingers you've bought, I can squeeze the fuckers in

TheABC · 23/11/2021 19:34

I can find chocolate, anytime, anywhere. The most impressive was midnight on Sunday, on a Spanish island.

MrsFoxyplease · 23/11/2021 19:34

I can spot an arsehole a mile off.
They seem to know I've spotted them too.

hellcatspangle · 23/11/2021 19:35

@Sprogonthetyne

I can fold a child’s pop up play tent so it fits back in the bag
That's one hell of a claim!
TheCaddieisaBaddie · 23/11/2021 19:35

Mine is making people laugh by staring at them. Very handy for teenage strops as they could never keep it up Grin

Also reading DHs mind when he is telling me something, possibly linked to the fact that he has already told me the same thing 5 times before and forgotten. He is convinced of my telepathic powers - would hate to disillusion him GrinGrin

MintyGreenDream · 23/11/2021 19:36

Procrastination

Siezethefish · 23/11/2021 19:37

I can throw an axe at a target and hit the bullseye with consistency

nottoplan · 23/11/2021 19:40

Numbers and dates , if you asked me what colour something was or someone's name no idea - absolutely no clue , but if you asked me something that mattered to me and it was a number or date related question I'm all over it , time , date , day , what the weather was like etc

meatyryvita · 23/11/2021 19:41

I always know what time it is to within 15 mins - obvs without a watch, clock, phone or whatever.

I can also estimate weights and measures for baking pretty accurately.

BetsyBigNose · 23/11/2021 19:52

I can fast forward the TV through the adverts on the highest speed (x30) and always press play at exactly the right moment, when the show is about to begin. Similarly, I can usually stop pumping diesel at an exact amount. Completely pointless, but I'll take pride in what I can!

mmgirish · 23/11/2021 19:53

I can say no to requests I don't want to do.

HoseMeDownWithHolyWater · 23/11/2021 19:54

@Simonjt

I can fold a fitted sheet
I'm jealous of this one. I fail even after watching tutorials!
Notlostjustexploring · 23/11/2021 20:00

Simonjt

"I can fold a fitted sheet."

That one's witchcraft, that is!!

I know where the last parking space is in any car park. 99% success rate.

DeathByMascara · 23/11/2021 20:13

I can speed read. Not a particularly useful skill, and annoying when I accidentally read spoilers for shows I've been meaning to watch.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/11/2021 20:16

I can make 30 x 4 year olds stop and listen. Harder than it sounds Grin

Lindy2 · 23/11/2021 20:17

I can put my hand on my children's foreheads and know if they have a temperature or not. If they've got a raised temperature I can also usually pretty accurately say what it is.

I did this in a GP surgery once and the doctor was most impressed with my "talent." Grin

MissKittyFantastico84 · 23/11/2021 20:20

I can get my eyebrows and top lip threaded and have zero redness afterwards.

My friend's face looks like a tomato after so she hates me for it.

I am her nemesis.

lazylinguist · 23/11/2021 20:23

Wordy stuff. Spelling, memorising text. Oh and explaining grammar rules to people who claim not to be able to understand them. That last one is not exactly a superpower, it's just part of my job. I've been really good at it since I was about 12 though!

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/11/2021 20:24

My hair never needs straightening or blow drying. Wash, comb and dry naturally. It just behaves

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 23/11/2021 20:25

I can remember the names of DH's works colleagues' spouses, even if he's only mentioned them once or twice. He is amazed every time but I think that is because he's so shit at it. I'm generally good with names but crap with faces.

Oh I wish I could do this, especially at Xmas time when ALDI and LIDL have so many weird and wonderful frozen desserts (current favourite 'choux de gianduja' (?)).

RB68 · 23/11/2021 20:26

I can swoosh wrapping paper
I am a mind reader
Super flexible despite my decrepit age and lack of exercise

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 23/11/2021 20:27

I struggled to make just one stop and listen! Grin Bizarrely find it easier with a teenager.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/11/2021 20:29

I can swoosh wrapping paper

Are you a glider @RB68? One of the few gifted souls?

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/11/2021 20:30

@Sweetpeasaremadeforbees it's much easier when they aren't related to you. My own DCs don't listen to a word I say!

Namechangeforthis88 · 23/11/2021 20:30

I'll get your word count down. It's heady stuff! If your document's too long, I'm your woman.
