My aunt doesn't want me to bring my dog to Christmas day

My Aunt has told me that she doesn't want me to bring my dog on Christmas day. There are going to be 22 of us so I can understand maybe she is worried about it being overwhelming, but my dog is very clean and well behaved and has been at most large family gatherings without issue.

Should I just respect her wishes or AIBU to push back and least ask why? Sad to think of my dog alone on xmas day (yes i am a crazy pet parent).

I know leaving a dog all day is too much for most dogs, but I find three/ four hours hard to imagine in normally life…If someone works 9-5, plus 30 minutes commute each way, add in popping into tesco for 20 mins, are they really paying for a dog walker twice a day?

I really don't find the Mumsnet experience of dog owning is anything like what I observe in RL.
I know two groups of people, those who have a dog walker if their dog is left alone all day and those who don't and just walk their dogs morning and evening.
I don't know anyone who drags their dog around with them or turns down invitations because of a dog.
Obviously Mumsnet dog owners exist in RL but I don't think they are the norm.

I guess we all have different experiences.

I don't know any dog owner who would dream of leaving a dog alone for long periods as we know this is distressing for them. Very normal for dogs to accompany you more or less everywhere where I live (and there are more dogs than people in the village).
