There is obviously a lot of briefing against him at the minute. What's the alternative? Liz Truss

I think Cameron and Osborne were much worse with what they did to the benefits system and the demonising of poor people. Don't really know what to think of Boris Johnson's speech, it was very strange with how it was presented, maybe some sort of coded message? He's been looking quite well recently, but a few months ago looked terrible, like he did when he had covid. I wondered if he was being blackmailed or similar.

Sunak or Hunt if it were to happen currently. Truss is for some reason popular with the party, but polls badly with the public so they won't choose her. I also suspect Gove would put his name in the hat, but again he does not poll well with the public so that would work against him.

That social care bill is terrible. I like Sunak best out of the lot of them.

I can't with Liz Truss. The whole "Cheese" speech did it for me.
She is cross because "we import 9/10ths of our pears"

(However, if I feel like I've had a bad day at work, I watch this and think "at least I'm not Liz Truss")

He has no check on his behaviour whatsoever. I think his previous wife might once have had some influence - maybe he misses her despite his treatment of her. He certainly lacks insight.

I hope he goes asap but there is no one in what is now effectively the Brexit party who would get my vote.

Johnson will remain Tory leader and PM until the moment the majority of Tory MPs decide he can’t win them the next election. Then they will knife him, because that’s what they do to leaders who become liabilities and ruthless pragmatism is what separates them from Labour.

I think it is the beginning of the end, but it's going to be a very long and painful road until we reach our destination. I think he very much likes the idea of being 'the boss of the UK,' but quite frankly he can't be arsed with doing any of the work or taking any of the responsibility that comes with it.
