Today he stumbled through a talk addressing business men and talked at length about Peppa Pig World

OP posts:
thistimelastweek · 22/11/2021 21:50

I think he was on a bet/dare to see how often he could say peppa pig world in a speech.

WhatHoMarjorie · 22/11/2021 21:52

the excruciating twenty seconds of silence where he was shuffling his papers around because he'd lost track of where he was in his 'speech'

FanGirlX · 22/11/2021 21:53

@GodIsAVegan

Peppa pig world. 🤣 Very strange behaviour even for Boris. But he sounds full of a cold. I don’t think he’s at all well which may go some way to explaining him getting muddled and losing his place in the speech. But peppa pig, I really don’t know.

Disclaimer: not a Tory or Boris fan. 😬 🐷

Pigs seem to be a common theme for Tory PMs 😂
DrManhattan · 22/11/2021 21:55

Nope. He will be fine.

OneOfTheGrundys · 22/11/2021 21:57

Sadly, he is frustratingly adept at ‘come backs’. I can’t wait to see the back of him and ‘Princess Nut Nut’.

Libertaire · 22/11/2021 21:57

Johnson will remain Tory leader and PM until the moment the majority of Tory MPs decide he can’t win them the next election. Then they will knife him, because that’s what they do to leaders who become liabilities and ruthless pragmatism is what separates them from Labour.

MatildaIThink · 22/11/2021 21:57

He will go when he is at risk of costing the Conservatives votes, they will do what they always do and get rid. At the moment the next election is not scheduled until May 2024, they will be biding their time, wait for the country to get through Covid, then get rid of him to install a new leader to rally behind ahead of the next election. My guess would be either Sunak or Hunt, but a lot can happen in two and a half years.

Morgan12 · 22/11/2021 21:58

Very nice distraction from what we should all be talking about today. Strange.

Suzanne999 · 22/11/2021 21:59

I think Peppa Pig is probably his level.
I look at him and think it must be the nanny’s day off as he can’t even dress himself or brush his hair properly.
He really is an embarrassment.

WhatHoMarjorie · 22/11/2021 21:59

Francis Urquhart will take care of it by pushing him off a roof.

Howshouldibehave · 22/11/2021 22:00

Is it deliberate distraction?! Whilst people are talking about his shit speech about a car and Prppa Pig, they aren’t talking about his care bill!

TrickorTreacle · 22/11/2021 22:00

Some of us here are Tory voters. It's a fact, and you know it. It's because there is something called "Shy Tory Factor" because they vote Tory while pretending to vote for a different party.

Yes Bozzo's a pig, but we've had worse. Such as David Cameron. Be VERY afraid of who we vote in next.

FurzeMinister · 22/11/2021 22:01

I think he'll find that .

Shy Tories are total twats - if you're going to vote Tory, at least have the decency to own up to it!!

I think Cameron was better than Johnson, admittedly Cameron wasn't great, but he was certainly better than Johnson.
Kendodd · 22/11/2021 22:04

The main difference I see between that speech and any other speech he's main is that the canned laughter has been turned off.

I have a theory that he works for Putin and has been tasked with destroying the UK, and a brilliant job he's doing.

@Russianmax
What did he say about Carrie?

WhatHoMarjorie · 22/11/2021 22:07

when asked how married life was treating him he made a gag about having buyer's remorse. The New European reported this and then they got a heavy handed call from one of his press people saying retract or we'll sue. The NE refused to retract and whaddya know, No 10 have decided not to sue after all.

Benjispruce5 · 22/11/2021 22:07

Let’s hope so eh?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
mibbelucieachwell · 22/11/2021 22:10

I predict he'll be out before too long. And rightly so. But I shudder to think who he'll be replaced by. Anyone with a shred of integrity wouldn't have wanted to be in his cabinet.

SusieBob · 22/11/2021 22:13

"I think Cameron was better than Johnson, admittedly Cameron wasn't great, but he was certainly better than Johnson."

It's a tough one.

Cameron fucked the country over because he was scared of losing a few seats to UKIP and then ran away rather than deal with his mess.

Boris is just a fucking moron.

Kendodd · 22/11/2021 22:15

@WhatHoMarjorie
Thank you.

If Tory and Brexit voters had any sense they'd have buyers remorse as well, sadly I see little evidence of that though.

Yes strange indeed. Distract us from the terrible social care plans and nhs slow creep towards the US model.
RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 22/11/2021 22:16

@BobbieT1999

Oh I hope so.

Worried who'll replace him though!

Truss sending out her PPS to start testing the water. Sunak on a charm offensive. So, one of those two I reckon.

I think Cameron was weak and should have challenged the anti-European wing of his party, but at the end of the day Brexit is the fault of the morons who voted for it.
