To find my husband eating cheesestrings

What does your DH eat that is really annoying? Mine buys and eats cheesestrings for some reason really winds me up. It’s not like he peels them into strings and waves them in my face, it’s just that surely a 32 year old adult could just have more refined taste than that?! He also loves those little petit filous yoghurts..do your DHs also eat toddler food- or just my man child. Not sure why it bugs me so much.

CS Lewis said "When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

There's nothing wrong with eating cheese or fromage frais if he likes them. It's just food.

@BigRedDuck

Cheese strings are bloody minging but hey ho. DH is a fan of pickled onions. So much so that when I first moved in with him into his - - hovel-- house, I used to find jars of vinegar under the bed. He still eats insane amounts but they live in the cupboards now. Away from me. 😂

I also bought a bag of alphabites and smiley faces the other day and they are bloody delicious. Next on my list is the crispy pancakes filled with cheese and ham 🤤

Findus crispy pancakes. Now we're talking.

Only recently discovered Babybel - seemed like a more sensible snack than chocolate in a not brilliantly stocked supermarket near weok.
Only got them when on special offer - then realised that even when discounted, its just an overpriced, overpackaged way of buying edam cheese.
Now buy sliced edam - but the little red baybels are very sweet Sad

@PeaceInMyLife

I also love a cheese board with proper cheese too!
Yes it's fun to have a palate that can appreciate all the cheese. Grin

I love Wagon Wheels. They are just perfect. Better than any posh biscuit.

Sparklingbrook · 14/11/2021 20:37

Crispy Pancakes. Rock hard on the outside, molten lava on the inside.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 14/11/2021 20:38

Why are people so uppity about others not liking cheese strings?! This thread is so odd

HollaHolla · 14/11/2021 20:39

@PolytheneRam

I love a Dairylea Dunker, me. Took one to work recently and my manager mocked me.
I fucking love a Dunker. The tubes one is the best. 😋
PeaceInMyLife · 14/11/2021 20:41

@Sparklingbrook all the cheese Grin

The jammy ones? They are the best ones if I do say so myself . .
PeaceInMyLife · 14/11/2021 20:42

I love the jumbo dunkers, they're better than the normal ones.

Pizza cheese strings are the best if you haven't tried them yet BTW!

Youdoyoutoday · 14/11/2021 20:43

adds cheesestrings to shopping list

My ds used to like those dairylea snack packs with the ham, cheese and cracker which I would sneakily eat with some chutney!! Quite nice!

jetadore · 14/11/2021 20:43

@Almostmenopausal
Cheese strings are just mozzarella! There's no added rubber! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cheese strings are to mozzarella as margarine is to butter, or Chorleywood is to bread.

Vbree · 14/11/2021 20:44

I buy cheese strings for myself!

dg93 · 14/11/2021 20:46

I have a cheese string and dunker every day for lunch 🤭😂

Aimee1987 · 14/11/2021 20:55

Isnt one of the perks of having kids that its deemed socially acceptable to buy all these treats Grin
Also DSS lunch box babybel most definetly get robbed by myself.

Blush21 · 14/11/2021 20:57

I don’t enjoyed cheese in any form other than melted or a cheese string! Guilty pleasure

They are really very close to mozzarella

Chorleywood is to bread

I'm going to need that explaining. Isn't Chorleywood a place?

Postdatedpandemic · 14/11/2021 21:09

Chorleywood is the process that makes square supermarket loaves, as opposed to bakers bread.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 14/11/2021 21:12

I love a babybel and dairylea anything. I've recently found these though and they are heavin in tinfoil.

So they are now making bathroom sealant out of cheese according to previous posters. Who knew?

When you take a shower, do so caerphilly.

Sorry. I'll see myself out.

Is it? I've never heard of that. I'll give it a Google. So an orange Warburtons from Asda rather than an artisanal seeded loaf from the local bakery?
ZeroFuchsGiven · 14/11/2021 21:15

*heaven Grin

My go-to comfort lunch used to be spaghetti hoops on toast, but they’ve changed the recipe of the sauce, and now it’s bland and tasteless. Sad
