Obviously you are hoping it is a dating site to put your mind at rest. But what would happen if it is? Would you break up with him?

What's weird is that you saw an icon you do not recognise and thus accused him of using a dating app. Rather than the more likely explanation that you are fairly tech illiterate and simply can't recognise logos.

‘Tonto’ means crazy in Spanish, so am assuming ‘to go tonto’ is the same as ‘to go crazy’? I’ve not come across the phrase before. though.

Same as tedingtons but the left hand side (not that, that will make a difference) Same position if an email or text, WhatsApp notification came through

If it is the same as the one I've posted it is the symbol for 'Voice over LTE' only appears on Android phones and is something to do with the network. Not an app or anything. It appears slightly differently on different phones.

If not just ask him why he deleted it?

Your gut it obviously telling you something but I don’t think it’s necessary to find evidence. If you’re not happy just end it.
