Complete with 'sad face'.

Aibu to think she deserves all the backlash that she's getting for this?

OP posts:

@EverybodyScream

Doesn't surprise me

The amount of women I've seen on tiktok dancing or making videos with their deceased babies/children is astounding.

😱😲😳🥺

what????
HoardingSamphireSaurus · 29/10/2021 16:29

@TokyoTen

Personally I think the people who are highlighting this in the media, yes this includes the OP, are as bad as she is. They seem to glory in the mock outrage. Clearly whoever she is feels she needs the attention, and obviously she has her own issues.
She is 'an influencer' - being noticed is how she earns her pennies, gets her validation.

This is one of those acts that makes Andy Warhol look so very outdated and proves the newer adage that "it hasn't happened until it has been on at least 3 SM platforms and garnered 100,000 reactions"

Her issues include needing to be told she needs to mature emotionally and being able to hold down a responsible position in society.

Good god!
itsallgoingpearshaped · 29/10/2021 16:31

It's shockingly attention-seeking and has nothing to do with grieving one way or the other. It's the complete inability to give up seeking constant attention and approval from faceless strangers. Sad, really.

BoredZelda · 29/10/2021 16:31

And given influencers are all teenagers and early twenty year olds

Not really. Plenty of them don’t fit this description.

No wonder there is a lack of women going into stem subjects. It's more aspirational to be a pole dancer than a scientist.

Sure. Social media and influencers. That’s what’s stopping them. And why women not entering STEM has been a problem for centuries. Nothing at all to do with societal gender stereotypes, barriers in teaching, lack of role models and hugely misogynistic working environments.

MissConductUS · 29/10/2021 16:31

I predict a haunting in her future.

ChargingBuck · 29/10/2021 16:31

@StrychnineInTheSandwiches

My dad would actually find the wherewithal to momentarily re-inhabit his mortal form and bellow 'For the love of God would you stop that prancing in front of my coffin'.
Grin Grin Grin

Now that's proper old-fashioned moral fibre.

But BumGirl's dad? - not so much as a reported twitch.
Poor man obviously brainwashed by too much "approval of my influencer lifestyle" ... And that is the real tragedy.

Will the outraged deal relatives of these monsters NEVER speak out?
I think you should start a movement, @StrychnineInTheSandwiches.
There's bound to be an App for it.

HazelandChacha · 29/10/2021 16:32

It looks like she has set her account to private.

The young people do seem to have no clue how to live without photographing & posting every ‘event’ for likes.

DS took a selfie of himself in his suit with DH at my DGM funeral. It was his first time in an actual suit. I did say “really? You’re taking a selfie at DGM’s funeral?” He did look a bit Confused at me but at least he didn’t post it anywhere and he wasn’t actually posing with her body!

InfluenzasInfluencing · 29/10/2021 16:32

I’ve seen a few MLM people do this kind of thing; posing with the coffin behind them and a delicate tear stained face without black streaks to prove their Younique mascara is worth buying.

😳

And here I was thinking "coffin-pose" was a newfangled concept. This thread is the first for me.

AdoraBell · 29/10/2021 16:33

Shock WTF?

Twolostsoulsswimminginafishbow · 29/10/2021 16:33

I’ve got Covid, feeling sorry for myself but even with my sense of taste I’m gobsmacked!

Jamallama · 29/10/2021 16:33

Back in Victorian times, it was quite common for parents pose for photos with their deceased child. I thought we had moved on from such macabre displays.
Clearly not!
The only thing she's influencing is how to be a brain dead self serving shit.
However, at least the Victorians didn't pose with their tits flopping around whilst twerking in front of the deceased.

Jenasaurus · 29/10/2021 16:33

Her poor dad will be remembered (if at all) as the man who had the arse photo shoot. She made his funeral all about her, what a terrible influence she is.

BiLuminous · 29/10/2021 16:33

The leg up pose, the pretend fad face selfie, the actual fact she thought to take pictures of herself like that where she was... nah
I don't care how crazy grief makes people, that's just sick.

BiLuminous · 29/10/2021 16:33

sad*

TrickOrTreat21x · 29/10/2021 16:33

Influencer no more.

Jesus wept, some people really have no morals.

BiLuminous · 29/10/2021 16:35

I thought the ones who pose for photos at Auschwitz or at the Holocaust memorial places then post it online were bad but wow, this tops even those.

InfluenzasInfluencing · 29/10/2021 16:36

I'm afraid this isn't an age-thing. There are Influenzas of all age groups and all are clamouring to be the Top Influenza in their chosen category.

Thatsplentyjack · 29/10/2021 16:36

She looks utterly devastated. The pouty sad lips prove that surely?

TyrannysaurusXXrightshoarder · 29/10/2021 16:37

Oh my god, the internet has officially eaten itself.

VeryLongBeeeeep · 29/10/2021 16:38

The charitable part of me wants to say she's 20, I'm glad SM wasn't around in my 20s to capture some of my questionable decisions.

The rest of me is saying "yes Beeeeep, but even in the most ill-judged years of your youth, you never actually posed with the corpse of a beloved relative - or indeed any corpse - looking like you're on your way to a Pussycat Dolls audition, did you?"

AuntMasha · 29/10/2021 16:38

The extremes of Social Media have tipped us into the Upside Down now. It’s bizarre and disturbing.

"Whooo ... whooo ... 'What your old dad would have wanted, was it?'
Let me tell you what I want Missy. I want you to go upstairs & wash that muck off your face, then crack on with college & get a decent job as a vet nurse. Now apologise to your mother. Whoo ... whoo ..."
