Complete with 'sad face'.

Aibu to think she deserves all the backlash that she's getting for this?

OP posts:
InfluenzasInfluencing · 29/10/2021 16:10

I'd say she's taken "anything for the gram" to the highest level but there are still people clamouring for that position. So I doubt this is the highest level.

5128gap · 29/10/2021 16:12

@Bringonthepjs

Its not something I would do and can't imagine why anyone would. But its her dad and her bereavement, so I don't think anyone except their family and friends need be concerned.

Except presumably it's all over sm so she wants the world to know Hmm

Welk obviously. She wants the world to know and be shocked and talk about her. She hasn't accidentally done something distasteful. Its very deliberate and the offended reactions are exactly what is required.
OhPatti · 29/10/2021 16:12

OMG is nothing private any more?!

Social media platforms should take this kind of thing down.

Bluetrews25 · 29/10/2021 16:12

But surely if someone professes to be 'an influencer' they are accountable publicly for the content that they display?
'Look at me, I'm great and I'll show you what to do/think/buy'
Does something quite distasteful, then wonders at the backlash.

Best result? Stop looking at her.

MissChanandlerBong81 · 29/10/2021 16:12

You can see one of your WhatsApp messages in the second screenshot, maybe ask MN to take it down as it could be outing?

ComDummings · 29/10/2021 16:13

That is some next level narcissism. Genuinely must be something wrong with her brain for her to think that was OK

SiobhanSharpe · 29/10/2021 16:13

@billy1966

My jaw is on the floor.

Imagine being THAT vacuous.

Mine too.
TokyoTen · 29/10/2021 16:13

Personally I think the people who are highlighting this in the media, yes this includes the OP, are as bad as she is. They seem to glory in the mock outrage. Clearly whoever she is feels she needs the attention, and obviously she has her own issues.

ChargingBuck · 29/10/2021 16:16

Gordon Bennett, blink!

Love the "it's wot dad would have wanted" defence.
Also the obligatory SadFace pic.

Yeah, she'll get a pasting, but it's all PR innit?
Any publicity is good publicity & all that, & imagine she will ably coast the wave of new "r u ok hun?" followers ...

So I doubt any backlash will bother the young woman much.

diddl · 29/10/2021 16:16

All she is influencing me to do is yet again feel bitter that I couldn't get over for my Dad's funeral!

Posing with his coffin?

Didn't even get to see it!

Cornettoninja · 29/10/2021 16:18

Oh my…. If she ever develops a hint of self awareness she’s going to cringe in the future.

I know we all mourn differently etc. but that sad face is hilarious - not a hint of actual emotion in her face or eyes.

Moonflower12345 · 29/10/2021 16:19

Influencers are a different breed entirely. They just don't quite get the real world.

I worked for one briefly and they were an absolute horror. Its all smoke and mirrors and nothing is real. It was very entertaining for 5 minutes but then just madness and I was glad to get out.

That's kinda the point @5128gap

Nobody asked her to publicise her father's corpse & her arse all over social media.
She chose to turn a private family event into embarrassing public business.

user1471447863 · 29/10/2021 16:21

These things always read much better if you replace the word 'Influencer' with 'Twat'. It soon becomes automatic.

EverybodyScream · 29/10/2021 16:22

Doesn't surprise me

The amount of women I've seen on tiktok dancing or making videos with their deceased babies/children is astounding.

Blondiney · 29/10/2021 16:24

@TheOriginalEmu

No I don’t think she ‘deserves’ backlash. Everyone grieves and mourns differently and everyone’s relationships with their family are different. If her family aren’t upset by it, it’s no one else’s place to be upset by it. We have a weird attitude to death in this country and normalising funerals is important to take that stigma away,
LOL!
TonyThreePies · 29/10/2021 16:24

It's really sad actually. She's so devoid of anything other than the need for likes that she can't even mourn when her father dies. What an awful way to live.

ChargingBuck · 29/10/2021 16:24

all bummy and pouty in front of a casket

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Are you the secret lovechild of Alan Bennett & Dick Emery, @hotmeatymilk?

WellLarDeDar · 29/10/2021 16:25

I think you've got to be quite disturbed to use your dad's dead body as a backdrop for 'influencer' photos. Utterly vile.

Shallow, shallow, shallow.

ChargingBuck · 29/10/2021 16:27

@5128gap

She did post them publicly and I'm not saying people shouldn't have an opinion. After all that's exactly what she wants, the attention from the controversy, which she hopes will make her memorable in a sea of other people trying to do the same . I'm just saying that personally, if the family aren't offended I don't see why I should be.
I don't need permission from anyone, even the corpse's blood relatives, to feel that attention-seeking arse shots with a dead dad backdrop are fucking distasteful @5128gap.
TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 29/10/2021 16:27

@saleorbouy

Oh dear.... when clicks and likes overshadow your ability to conduct yourself with respect, decorum and discretion. The sad world of me first, look at me, that social media creates in our younger generation.

Spot on. How sad for her that this is the life she lives!

YouokHun · 29/10/2021 16:27

I’ve seen a few MLM people do this kind of thing; posing with the coffin behind them and a delicate tear stained face without black streaks to prove their Younique mascara is worth buying.

People are desperate for attention, any kind of attention, any validation they can get. The discussion over her post will be a source of joy to her however negative.

I’m so glad I got thirty odd years on the planet before social media and camera phones took hold.
