Cinema and covid

I took my boys 4 and 6 to cinema today as its a first day of school holiday treat.

Me and my husband and children sat in the seats we had picked. Two teenagers came in just after we did and in an empty cinema sat next to us.

We ended up moving in the end but am I being unreasonable to say that it wasn't our place to move and we were here first.

I understand that taking kids to cinema is a luxury

AIbu rhag the kids should of respected rules saw we were sat here.and moved instead of us.

I don't understand why anyone had to move, why can't they sit there? What difference does it make to you?

Wondering is it that you are worried about covid? why you go to the cinema? What if it had been full? Would you have left?

This thread is bonkers lol.
They also paid for their seats. They didn't have a problem. You had a problem. So of course it was your place to move.
Most of us are now vaccinated and trying to get back to some sort of normality. If you're that concerned, rent a movie on Disney plus at home!

@Thelonelyranger

Is this your first time at the cinema? Who picks the front row when the full cinema is empty?
Someone who enjoys neck pain?
steff13 · 18/10/2021 18:09

If they were in their assigned seats, they did nothing wrong. If you didn't like sitting near them you could have moved. Which you did. So, problem solved. Yay!
