I know the majority will disagree with me but .....

I never watch it, but tonight thought I’d put it on. Just watched the last 40 mins of it and am finding it one big cringe/ cheese/ bore fest.

I have no idea who any of the ‘celebs’ are, I’ve thought all the dances have been a bit meh. The judges all seem to be clamouring over one another for attention.

I’m a big fan of dancing on ice and always watch that, but I guess I like that because of the danger element, just makes it a bit more exciting.

I’m just bored watching this and struggling with all the gushy cheesiness.

Am I the only one who doesn’t get the massive hype around it?

I used to absolutely love it but I cannot get into it at all this year. It just feels dull.

I used to quite like it, but now like every other reality show I think a lot of the 'celebs' (term used loosely) just want to boost their profile and their chances at securing more work. The music is also bloody terrible, really annoying to listen to. I love dancing so find the premise interesting, but think the format would still work with 'unknowns' being given a chance to have world class training, sparkly outfits and get their names out there.

I’m enjoying it. Ive not watched it for years though, so was ready for a 2nd go at it.

They might as well just offer auditions for the public to do it, it would be so much more fun. Cost them less as we don’t recognise the celebs anyway.

Have to agree. Really have no idea who the celebrities are, I know Greg Wise and that’s about it.

It’s a shame, my dd loves it but it’s tiresome to watch for me.

love ice skating but hate dancing on ice, they go so slowly.

Kids get to stay up and dance along. I think it’s nice Family entertainment. Slightly cheesy and inoffensive.

This year with Rose and John doing such a great job I have been really inspired thinking what their success must mean for deaf people and same sex couples, seeing themselves represented on mainstream TV.

I haven’t watched it for a good few years now but I decided to give it a go this evening and it was boring.

I’m not a massive fan, but I think your criticism around not knowing who the celebs are is odd considering you say you really like dancing on ice.

I’m not sure of many of the people on it this year, but the few I am aware of are pretty well known. I mean, Adam Peaty is a world class swimmer, Olympic gold medalist and multiple world record breaker.

Halve the number of contestants, remove all of the twee ‘training’ videos and messages from random friends and family members, and drastically reduce the cringy post dance interviews and it might be watchable..

Plus, have the results show in Saturday night, not a whole other show on the Sunday which we all know is pre-recorded..

And please stop the couples clinging on to each other, constantly hugging, over the top gushing about how wonderful each other is.. nauseating..

It's a no from me, its just the same thing year after year. It also gas that very 'chummy' This Morning/ITV vibe to it, maybe I just don't get it!

I'm sure most of the contestants are lovely. But it really is awfully silly. And been getting worse not better over the past couple of years. Dear BBC we are very loyal but you are pushing your luck with flogging dead horse programmes. I've just put several CDs into my van so that I can listen to something less drivelly than whatever tripe

YANBU - it’s dreadful and always has been. Can’t stand any of it in any way at all: the costumes, the make up, the naff dancing, the dated format, the simpering presenters, but most of all I hate the out of time inane clapping along by the audience.

I find it excruciating to watch. Also have no idea who the contestants are and no interest in finding out.

I am not crazy about all the padding in the training videos but I think the celebrities and the professionals work really hard and seeing their progress is great. I find it entertaining and we all have our opinions in our house on what we like and why.
There are highs and lows in every series, but if you don't like it, don't watch it.
