Please tell me this is just an evap line?

Been feeling ‘pregnant’ all week, same muscle issues, gas and general exhaustion as my other pregnancy’s. Assumed I was mental as I have the implant and 2 under 2 at home already.

Took a first response tonight just to put my mind at ease and there is a very faint pink line. It’s clearer in person but these are the best pics I can get without natural light!

I can't see anything at all on either set of photos.

JetRocket · 15/10/2021 07:22

@Aprilx

I’m not making a special apt I’m already there this morning for another issue. Not wanting to have to book a second apt in a weeks time is why I want to ask today. 2 birds 1 stone and all that. Plus I’m not sure how straight forward a pregnancy would be with an implant in, imagine they’d need to take it out.

OP posts:
mistermagpie · 15/10/2021 07:25

They are very faint but I can see a line in your first picture, less on your blue dye tests.

With my second child I had tests like this for WEEKS though and he's 4 now. You might need to wait a few days and test again, not sure how quick a GP blood test will be?

JetRocket · 15/10/2021 07:30

@ThirdElephant
I’m a massive contingency planner too.
Right now I’m settled it’s about 90% not pregnant but those FRER looked very positive last night. I’d rather be over prepared than under.

Didyeaye · 15/10/2021 07:46

Hi OP. I can see lines on all your tests. I also think your ‘feelings’ are tell tale. I had a similar type surprise and had the feelings before the positive test.
Hope it all works out the way you want xx

ChorizoJacketPotato · 15/10/2021 07:54

CB are shit. If a FRER is positive then I’d trust the FRER.

Just get more FRERs to confirm either way.

Bananarama37 · 15/10/2021 08:01

@Holskey just wanted to show you my false positive. I'm deffo not pregnant.

GoodVibesHere · 15/10/2021 08:01

I can't see any lines on any of your tests.

JetRocket · 15/10/2021 08:01

To give some perspective on why I’m concerned these were my first ‘positive’ tests with DD who is now 4.5 months

Yes, I see why you're concerned. They're unlikely to see you about it today if your appointment is for something else- generally it's a rule of one issue per appointment- but do give it a shot as you may need a doctor to sign off on the blood test.

I'd call as soon as the surgery opens and book in an appointment. Say you've had positive pregnancy tests but have an implant. They should want to see you because of the ectopic pregnancy risk- if you are pregnant they'll need to book you in for a scan.

Luckytattie · 15/10/2021 08:17

From the CBs you've done this morning no again can see lines.
It's too early to say and now you're wasting money on buying tests you need to squint at!

I hope they manage to do your bloods today!

Treaclepie19 · 15/10/2021 08:25

@JetRocket I do see why you're concerned and the tests do look positive to me. I also get super squinty tests .
The thing I would say is the gp may fob you off with a test there which won't be as sensitive (has happened to me) and then not do bloods because you're not pregnant in their eyes.
Hope they're helpful though since you've got the implant.

SunsetSmartmeter · 15/10/2021 08:32

@JetRocket If you have an appointment today I'd raise it then, the issue of the implant means this isn't a simple yes or no to being pregnant that can wait a while, action will need to be taken. I suspect if you ring the surgery this morning they will tell you that you don't need a second appt given you already have one -that's how it is at my surgery anyway. If you arrive to see a GP & when you get there it's deemed you need a nurse as a matter of urgency (or the other way around) you are slotted in (though you may have to wait a while.)

I have to be honest & say I struggle to see lines when people post photos here but I can see lines on all yours. The FRER are the most sensitive so I'd go with those & proceed from there. Good luck 👍🏻

Grabmygran · 15/10/2021 08:33

OP I have never had any sniff of a line except when actually pregnant. One of those cheap pink dye tests actually showed a faint line so I took a frer and got a faint line too- then digital tests didn’t show anything til a couple of days later.

iwannabelikeyouhoohoo · 15/10/2021 08:52

Yes, I’d be concerned too. I can see a line on both the FRERs and the CBs. I hope everything works out for you, OP.

JetRocket · 15/10/2021 10:47

At the Dr’s waiting now. Managed to take another FRER and looks the same as last night tbh. Wouldn’t say any darker or pinker though just the same.

OP posts:
ReeseWitherfork · 15/10/2021 10:51

Good luck OP. I think there's a few accounts of women getting pregnant with an implant in, and I'm sure most of the time it was because it had been put in wrong.

Spidey66 · 15/10/2021 11:00

@2Two

I can't see any line on OP's tests for the life of me, even expanding the pictures. I'm mystified about what other people are seeing.
Same here.
Spidey66 · 15/10/2021 11:02

Oh hang on....i can see a very faint line on the middle picture of the last 3, but nil else.

wetfloor · 15/10/2021 11:04

I can see faint lines. Why would they all be showing a faint line on all of them if you wasn't pregnant?
Also, aren't you meant to take them with your first week of the day?

FreedomFaith · 15/10/2021 11:11

Can't see lines, even with it circled. Don't think you're pregnant. Get checked at the gp office though to be certain.

JetRocket · 15/10/2021 11:58

Docs took blood and will run a hcg test.
Doc looked at tests and said to him they look positive but blood tests to check.

If these are evap lines I think FRER are very morally dubious and no doubt getting a lot of Women’s hopes up. If I was TTC and got these I’d be heart broken if only evap lines.

OP posts:
Globaluser · 15/10/2021 12:34

When do you get blood results OP?

Glitterybug · 15/10/2021 12:45

I don't think you're pregnant op. I hope you get the outcome you want.

cultkid · 15/10/2021 12:48

I'm going to say you are pregnant yes

Get a pack of 50 cheap ones and check them daily

You got this 💪🏻💪🏻
