To be annoyed DP went ‘clubbing’

Last night my DP went out with his friends for dinner and some drinks. Glad he had a good time, but what has really annoyed me is he’s gone clubbing with his friends in a sweaty COVIDy nightclub where apparently there was 0 social distancing and hundreds of drunk people dancing around him.

For context, we live in an area where there are a LOT of COVID cases. He’s not exactly over the hill (29) but I feel irritated that he’s put as at risk and don’t know why he couldn’t just have had a night out without the clubbing part!

AIBU?

Kick him out and make him quarantine in a hotel for 10 days. Why take the risk?
Hilarious
millymolls · 10/10/2021 13:59

You’ll probably find a ‘covidy’ nightclub has advanced air purification and filtration systems which purify the air every 5 minutes - most do- which makes then a lot less ‘risky’ than other venues
Hope he enjoyed his night out !

Wazzzzzzzup · 10/10/2021 14:01

Is "why take a risk" a newest thing to say instead of "you are killing people"? With deaths lower the latter is really not "in" anymoreHmm
Why take a risk and drive. Or fly. Or breath...🙄

Yeah, kick him out of his own home!

If OP is that bothered she can take herself off to a hotel for 10 days!

Jesus it's ridiculous that people are doing things that are totally allowed and crazy partners want them out of the house. What rule where says you need to quarantine for 10 days after going to a nightclub?

FatBettyintheCoop · 12/10/2021 15:17

@Siepie

Did you miss the bit about the U.K. still having the highest rates of Covid in Europe or are you one of those people who doesn’t give a stuff about anyone else because ‘I’m alright Jack’?

You do realise that for many people with underlying health conditions, the vaccine doesn't work? Many of them have young children too.

I didn’t go to a restaurant from around October 2019 because that’s when I got hit by a car travelling too fast. My recovery was hampered because Covid stopped me getting Physio.

But you carry on making bitchy comments if that’s what gives you pleasure. Hmm

@ChargingBuck

I went to Club Covidy, but couldn't get in. Apparently I'm not hip enough.
are drinks free?

Haha, good one! Grin

@TheChip

But it is a mild illness for the majority of people.
So's polio.
BreadPita · 12/10/2021 15:42

If you can't worry less about Covid now, you will never be able to. It is and always have been a mild illness for most people, 29 is not a typically risky demographic.
95% of deaths (and the vast majority of people do not die) are in the 45 and over category.

Lol. If the OP is that bothered, she should move out for 10 days!
Wazzzzzzzup · 12/10/2021 18:29

So's polio.

And there is a vaccine for both

Glugglejug · 13/10/2021 18:12

Covid has been an absolute god send for people who like to control their partners, hasn’t it?

Op, you are being v. unreasonable and borderline abusive. No wonder he’s furious at you! Hope he enjoyed his take away, if I were him, I’d wise up and leave tbh. No way would I accept being controlled like that.
