Height. Even though I’m in my fifties there’s a little part of me that still hopes I might grow beyond 5 foot 1.

InvincibleInvisibility · 09/10/2021 16:54

A week without a migraine.
Have tried so many things over 25 years and just have to accept it is how my brain is.

Lulu2021 · 09/10/2021 16:56

A mum

FangsForTheMemory · 09/10/2021 16:56

the life I would have had without a disability

Belsizepark · 09/10/2021 17:15

Not having a mum. She died when I was two. My dad remarried within the year to a woman who hated me. They were both emotionally and physically abusive all my childhood.

FictionalCharacter · 09/10/2021 17:16

Good health (disabilities can make life so much less than it could have been)

A really happy marriage

Friends

A big enough house

Flowers to all of you who have lost children. It must be agony.

whataboutbob · 09/10/2021 17:19

This thread has put my own unfulfilled desire ( to have a house rather than a flat) in perspective. So sorry @Belsizepark. My mum died when I was 27 and that was bad enough.

I was good at hockey as a teenager. The weekend I was selected for National trials , my period came . Not only was I unprepared for it but there all weekend trying to find some san pro , I had the usual terrible pains too. My hockey game and concentration suffered all day Saturday and I didn’t really recover until Sunday lunchtime. Worse , I was too embarrassed to say anything to the Coaches so they probably thought I was just not a good player .

I had a good final session Sunday afternoon but that was it and I was never contacted again after.

Suspicioussam · 09/10/2021 17:35

A worthwhile career and living by the sea

Giggorata · 09/10/2021 17:36

A daughter.
I adore the DSs but always wanted a girl, too.

No grandaughters yet, either.

Suspicioussam · 09/10/2021 17:37

Having now read some of the other posts mine sounds really insensitive. So sorry to all those that have lost parents young and lost children and had tough lives Flowers

Utility room

Lovely singing voice

@2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney how disappointing that must have been for you. Stupid periods.

MonicaGellerBing · 09/10/2021 17:37

Money

TheWeeDonkey · 09/10/2021 17:43

@Chasingsquirrels

Mr Frosty (as a child).
He was overated honestly. The syrup had a kind of toxic aftertaste and never covered the ice enough to make it edible.
IPokeBadgers · 09/10/2021 17:45

A child

Macaroni46 · 09/10/2021 17:48

Slim legs that actually work properly

Being proposed to. Tho I guess in theory that could still happen!

liveforsummer · 09/10/2021 17:49

Money 😆 - every time I get a pay rise it's deducted disproportionately from other income and i end up even worse off. Cost of living is going up all around. My example is probably pretty widespread right now though I'm not alone

Macaroni46 · 09/10/2021 17:49

So sorry @Belsizepark Thanks

Macaroni46 · 09/10/2021 17:51

@2bazookas I feel your pain. Could be lipoedema - there are support groups for the condition

marykitty · 09/10/2021 17:51

The possibility to start back from scratch with my brother

A mom without hoarding disease

cushioncovers · 09/10/2021 17:56

A father that gave me encouragement and kind words.

Being slim

Finding a partner

Macaroni46 · 09/10/2021 17:58

@FunnysInLaJardin I always wanted a girls world too 😂

Heartofglass12345 · 09/10/2021 18:04

@Sunbeamelephant why do you have to stay in your marriage? I can't imagine how unhappy you must be Sad

Mine is parents that really care about me.

Heartofglass12345 · 09/10/2021 18:05

That meant to say not having parents who really care about me lol

Ludo19 · 09/10/2021 18:07

A mother who loves me and would believe me when I told her my dad abused me.
