Did they seem ‘normal’? Or did you get a strange feeling about them?

my mum taught a child in year 6. She put on his secondary transfer forms that he should never be left in charge of any equipment eg science equipment, and she really worried about him and his safety.

A year later he was on the front page of the local paper, he had stabbed his sister in the eye with some scissors Sad

My sister and I "met" Fred West in Gloucester in the late 80's. We were waiting for a bus and he pulled over and offered a lift. He had done some work for our parents and knew who we were, and seemed really friendly and pleasant. I was going to accept the lift, but my older and more streetwise sister pulled me back and got rid of him.

I was very grateful to her a few years later.

How awful! It’s even more concerning that this was in the late 80s because it gives more weight to the idea that the Wests may have kept on killing after their last known victim who was their daughter in 1986.

I’ve recently read a crime book about the Wests and they were both truly some of the most deeply depraved messed up people I’ve ever heard about. They definitely seemed to try to pick up girls that they knew of. Apparently Fred would take note of potential victims over literally years and wait for an opportunity- it gives me the chills.

My mum taught twins, one of who killed the family kitten by running it over, repeatedly, with his bike. They were about 7.
Around 20 years later, one ended up in prison for a particularly violent rape. The other was murdered in a drug related fight.
Really sad for their family. But early signs.

When I just entered university, we had orientation, led by second year students. Our group's tour guide was this kid, basically a caricature geek.

After two days, a big crime shocked the city, as somebody attacked his family, murdered his father, seriously injured his brother, and himself and his mother were left unharmed, but were treated in hospital for shock. A week later it came out that this kid hired a killer to murder the entire family, just not quite succeeded. He got 20 years.
