Yesterday bloke in checkout queue behind me had 8 sliced loaves and a tray of dog food tins.
And 3 bottles of orange squash

The sandwiches at his kid's party are going to be dreadful

Possibly. But of course nosiness is a virtue on MN!

I have ASD and suffer with anxiety. If I go into a shop I tend to buy unhealthy food. Now I know that someone is probably judging my choices and will remember it in years to come. Thanks for that

LukeEvansWife · 05/10/2021 08:47

So lighthearted and fun for you possibly.

cricketmum84 · 05/10/2021 08:50

@LukeEvansWife but nobody is actually judging on here!

If you don't find something lighthearted and fun then scroll on by and find a different thread rather than having an extreme reaction to this one!

Maybe flouncers corner!?

LukeEvansWife · 05/10/2021 09:26

Of course they are judging!

And I have every right to be here even if I disagree with people. HTH. Smile

Someone wondering why I have 16 litres of milk in my trolly isn't judging, it's simple harmless idle curiosity.

Sometime people give the game away by what they are wearing, so a person wearing chef trousers buying 200 bars of chocolate or 50 loaves of bread suggests it's due to their delivery letting them down.

I once bought 500 chocolate santa lollies and a small bit of fruit, you can bet your bottom dollar someone was wondering what the heck I was up to!

Fizbosshoes · 05/10/2021 09:38

My basket most the other day was mainly chocolate. Its the thing we run out of most often!Blush

@GiantCrab

I used to run a picking operation for a major retailer. The best bit about the job was figuring out the 'story' behind the picks. Brexit prepping was definitely a thing. Hand sanitizer wa scrapyard for a while for obvious reasons. We used to discuss the orders over the headsets as we were picking. The best was condoms and a pregnancy test. You either need one or the other, not both Grin
If the test is negative and you still don't want a baby. Obviously.
