Thinking parties, theatre, concerts, large work meetings etc.

OP posts:
ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 01/10/2021 00:06

2 concerts, 3 football matches and a 2 week holiday since the start of August and not even caught a cold

saltinesandcoffeecups · 01/10/2021 00:16

1 50K+ concert indoors, 4 flights, 1 resort, Vegas casinos, 3 baseball games, countless hospital visits, packed bars, packed restaurants, and a small sailing ship with 30 pax+crew. Except for the flights all have been maskless since May of 2020.

FlipFlopFlossy · 01/10/2021 00:21

yes a festival but it was all open air

bethabean · 01/10/2021 00:28

Silverstone for F1 weekend and a festival!

bethabean · 01/10/2021 00:29

Oh and also a flight and holiday to Rhodes last year

VavavoomHenry · 01/10/2021 00:44

Loads. Cinema, parties, soft play, theatre, music concerts.

Everyone I know has caught it from their children from school.

housemdwaswrong · 01/10/2021 00:56

No, but I never did before Covid, and would be less inclined now (immunosupressants).

Bloodybridget · 01/10/2021 01:17

I've been to three Proms, and last weekend was one of 120 guests at a wedding. We were packed in like sardines for the ceremony - I haven't done a test since then but have no symptoms.

Snugglybuggly · 01/10/2021 01:17

Yes loads

GTAlogic · 01/10/2021 01:32

Food festivals, evenings out, a trip to A&E, a school assembly...

evelynhugo · 01/10/2021 01:37

One theatre trip, one large wedding, one trip abroad (many for my partner), a few outdoor shows and several large indoor lectures. One of my children has had four exposures at school last week and is luckily still negative. They will be vaccinated next week.

Poppins2016 · 01/10/2021 01:41

Open plan office and exposed to covid positive people on 3 different occasions (1 was a close contact).

Hospital appointments.

Hampton court flower show.

Playgrounds (very little distancing as most children lack the self awareness!).

An occasional restaurant trip.

I am relatively careful with distancing, hygiene and mask wearing, plus I've been double vaccinated for the last few months, but I think I've been lucky not to get covid, to be honest!

Saoirse82 · 01/10/2021 02:56

@Ifyoudontlikeitdosomethingelse

3 weddings of 100+ people

Rave of 1000 people.

And quite a few other random parties.

Life goes on. Nothing to be afraid of.

Tell that to the millions of CEV people 🙄
Etinox · 01/10/2021 03:04

Thfex

Suzi888 · 01/10/2021 03:06

Yes, but no idea if I’ve escaped Covid. Not everyone has symptoms, so unless you test regularly you’d never know.

Milkshake54 · 01/10/2021 03:10

4 large weddings! Only one person reporting with Covid after any of them (that I know of!)

steff13 · 01/10/2021 03:38

The movies a few times, a Renaissance Festival, a baseball game.

junebirthdaygirl · 01/10/2021 03:51

Was at a get together in someone's house. 14 people. I got Covid as did at least 4 others. All vaccinated. Haven't heard from some of the others as l was in isolation and too sick to be contacting people. May have passed on to others not there by now. My family have escaped even though dh in very close contact until l realised l had it.

TCody · 01/10/2021 06:22

Yes. Trip to London (stayed for 4 nights), multiple trips to the theatre and football matches and a holiday in Norfolk with lots of pub visits. I do regular lateral flow tests as would not want to spread it if I did have it but all have been negative.

Taxwolf · 01/10/2021 06:35

Yes, over the last couple of months… 2 theatre trips, a graduation (small venue few people bothered with masks), a crowded fun run, restaurants, bars and train and tube trips. Also a long weekend to Berlin with massive airport queues (Berlin end and Heathrow coming back). I have also been to my office and used the lifts etc.

Ajl46 · 01/10/2021 06:38

Wimbledon, packed trains, tube, large teaching hospital, cinema, theatre. Not had covid (to my knowledge).

Strugglingtodomybest · 01/10/2021 08:21

Yes I have, and so has DH and the DC.

BananaPB · 01/10/2021 08:48

Of course they have. 😂

Sugarplumfairy65 · 01/10/2021 08:58
@Sugarplumfairy65

Of course I wouldn't say that. But I also wouldn't go to a rave of 1000 people indoors rubbing our sweaty bodies all over each other 😂

Such a stupid thing to say. I'm healthy, I've got nothing to worry about. Like most people. But carry on, let's all pretend were really vulnerable and shut ourselves away some more. That'll learn us.
The cev people are not going out to these things. Their friends and family are going then bringing covid home with them.
I lost a very dear friend last week because her of her selfish son. She told him to let her know if he was going to these events so he could take a test and isolate before going to see her. He said he would but lied about it. He went to a 3 day event with thousands of people then went to see her the following day saying that he'd been home all weekend.
My friend who had a kidney transplant 3years ago trusted him. He tested positive 2 days later as did most of the group he went with. My friend was dead within 2 weeks

FrankButchersDickieBow · 01/10/2021 09:02

Been the theatre a few times. Also husband and daughter had it at the same time. Thought it was inevitable that I would get it, so no distancing. Shared a bed etc., and I never caught it.
