This anti Vax bollox was sent round to all parents of my child's school today. See photo.

I am struggling to understand why and how this happened! They have sent round a new email to say ignore the previous. But really poor show from the school 🤦

Well I am amazed that even though I have said it is guff (sorry the quality of the image is poor it is a screen shot!). People are saying it is real😂🤦

The school should have checked. But I suppose the writers of this knew that the schools are drowning in paperwork and will forward things with “NHS” written on top.

It is quite a "good" mock up, in that at first glance it looks official and like a genuine consent form.
But as soon as you read the contents, it is stating "facts" that are designed to dissuade people from getting the vaccine.
But its not as out-there-loopy as some anti vax stuff, so is perhaps more able to get past people's bullshit radar.

I suspect this school will need to have its comms authorisations policies revamp. Some poor administrator will get blamed for this.

It is clearly anti vax bollocks. Is putting things on NHS headed paper not protected. Ie could they be arrested for fraud? Genuine question as I'm unsure of the legality of it, obviously they would have to find who did it first.

Someone obv managed to fake a health board email or similar and just said ‘please forward this to all parents’.

I don’t think a school receptionist is necessarily meant to scrutinise the whole thing. They just fell for a scam, poor thing.

Oh,.I bet the school admin had a real 'oh shit' moment when they realised what they had sent out. A lot of the replies here show people see what they want to see. NHS logo ✅ covid app checklist ✅ didn't look any closer & sent out.

Schools are also getting legal threats, absolute bollocks about how they are liable for vaccine stuff, and at least one school has reported a death threat.

On top of this there are anti-vaxxers protesting outside schools, harassing kids and teachers and in some cases actually coming onto the school site forcing it into lockdown.

They are absolute fucking shitheads.

We have just been sent an apologetic email and they are going to brief the kids tomorrow. I can forgive the school their error and move on, but it is worrying how far the anti-vaxxers are willing to go to disrupt the Vax programme.

YANBU. I imagine the people saying YABU didn't/couldn't read the photo or something or just saw the NHS logo and took it at face value. Which is what they want you to do! Glad they've noticed but I bet some harm has already been done

It is very subtly anti-vax, and is not an approved NHS checklist. They have seen it and thought it was approved and sent it out. Poor show.

Well I agree with it! No way I'm having the vaccine, or my kids. Its good that they are making people aware of the risks, finally.

A lot of schools don't pay their admin staff much more than minimum wage, even with the popularity of term time only, I'm not sure its a job many people would want at the moment.

This is appalling. Please do ask what sort of checks will be put in place to prevent such harmful and disingenuous communications in future.

I'd also suggest reporting the communication to your local public health team (will be based at the council), and clinical commissioning group for awareness.

It's really hard to read, but if I get close and take my glasses off I can make out enough to know that it not an official document. Vaccine causes blindness and deafness does it?

Are others just looking at the heading, struggling to read the rest and assume it's kosher.
